harassed by [Mod Removed] told my daughter to sell her game and kill herself!!!

there's this gamer tag (MOD REMOVED) that told my daughter to kill herself coz she's playing so poorly... asking my daughter why she's still alive and told her to sell her game... my daughter just barely got the game and is still learning to play... i
guess that's an excuse to some and shouldn't play at all if they don't learn and be an expert after a few days!!!

the following are some of her messages to my daughter:

(MOD REMOVED): why even own the game? u should sell it and kill yourself!

(MOD REMOVED): just sell your game, you clearly don't know how to use it!

(MOD REMOVED): do you play with your eyes closed? i don't see how you can do anything in life that poorly and find it acceptable whether it be a video game or not. If your team asks you to back out because you're playing poorly you should back out!

(MOD REMOVED): it's really not fair that we all get a loss because you're too incompetent to hold a controller!

(MOD REMOVED): stop lying about having good moments, i've seen your stats. it'snot that i can't stand losing! it's that i can't stand teammates like you!

(MOD REMOVED): the team wasn't better than us. You went negative seventeen in a game of tdm without you we would've won easily! just go kill yourself!

there are more and won't let me post anymore... i hope someone will do something about this poor sport gamer!!!

hello my 11 year old daughter was being sexually harassed by gamer named: [Mod Removed]

he was harassing to the point where he sexually tried to exploit my daughter then when we asked him to leave her alone he said he wont without getting her to call him then send voice messages of him moaning and such online I cant believe xbox allows this
filth online when all she was doing was trying to play a friendly game of poker I have his phone number as well it is:

Please refer to my messages there are around fourty on my xbox live of him objectifying my daughter. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Recommended Minimum Age for this game?

My 7-year old daughter likes the game. My almost 5-year old daughter likes it but can't do it by herself. It requires a lot of reading and also requires being able to navigate around the zoo with both thumbsticks. If your daughter can do those things,
then the game can be fun as there's a Freeform mode with infinite money and no challenges.

 

such anger, All I see is YOU telling another gamer to kill...... Maybe it's a decent idea to go ahead and use the console features to file a complaint. Then just block communications. GOOD LUCK !!! BTW, don't name and shame others for any reason.

Just tell your daughter that this is life. She will have to deal with people like this all through out school. Some more pathetic and self centered than others. Tell her that people like this are usually in their early adult stage still living with their
parents. No jobs. no money. no life. (other than the controller in their hand) Im not saying there is anything wrong with gaming...but when you let it take control of your entire life much like crack it becomes a problem. tell her this then block him

The best you can do is take it up with a mod and report the gamertag in question.

Sadly there are some players out there like she's experienced but there are also some pretty cool ones as well. If I were you I'd probably try to have a talk with how to handle such situations in the future. If someone is getting aggressive then just exit
out of the game, report, and go on. Explain to her that these sort of people have lives most likely filled with tons of insecurities and the only outlet they find to express it is sadly through a video game. You should also make sure she knows what to do in
the instances of strangers sending her explicit/provocative messages because it's not an uncommon issue.

As long as she's enjoying herself then she shouldn't worry about what any other person has to say about her level/skills. Hopefully she can still continue to enjoy whatever game it is she started (if you don't mind me asking, what game is it this happened
in?). All my luck to you in resolving this issue and don't give up in finding decent/mature players for her to game with (they're out there).

 

@Titanlaila,really sad to read your daughters horrengous xbox live experiance,I would be infuriated if my children were treated by this appauling behaviour from the COD community,as sadly its the minority that cause all this nasty behaviour,I presume your
daughter was playing COD?

Its a case of setting the privacy settings up right,have everything to friends only and then no one can insult your pride and joy at all.

If you call xbox support no doubt this situation will get escalated to tier 3'd straight away, and the person in question wil be dealt with,yes a bit of banter is great in gaming,but when it comes to abusing peoples children verbally its unacceptable,keeping
any future messages of this sort will make the advocacy teams job easier to deal with your situation.

I personally really like the whole new,clean system on the xbox one because this behaviour is very none existent in comparison to the 360.

for your information, i was told to report everything i just reported while on the phone with the xboxlive support... she's the one that suggested i put the gamertag and everything that happened so that support can see and follow up...

btw, this is my daughter's account... i was also suggested i log on to her account and report wherever i needed to report the incident...

shame??? i was suggested/told by support (xbox live) step by step while she was on the phone what to do, how to report and to put everything that was said, INCLUDING the gamertag of the person harassing so that support can know who it is and do their investigation...


are you mod here??? it's obvious you're not a very good one accusing people and saying "such anger"... you don't understand that parent(s) get very angry when their kids are bullied and harassed??? maybe you should learn a little more about being a mod
or customer support...

 

Phone support is wrong, you can not post other peoples gamertags on the forums, I still can't figure out why they keep telling people to do this. Anyway, you need to report these people using the tools on your console. Choose their gamertag then click file
complaint. Then communications. Then block communications and avoid these people. This is the best that can be done. Just so you know, the Policy Enforcement Team does not read these forums. Some people take games way to seriously, I am sorry that your daughter
had to endure this.

 

I believe Bong read your post incorrectly and took it that it was you saying those things. It was just a simple mistake.

ok... thank u... i think it's ridiculous that they don't know what each others (phone and website support) are doing and telling customers... at least communicate so that they don't keep telling customers one thing then get told wrong by another...

 

Also, what is most likely to happen is that the people who did this will end up getting a communications ban, not banned from playing, so you might still see them online. There are exceptions to this such as if this has happened before to other people, or
if repeated offensive communications to the same person happen. It is completely up to the PET to decide what actions are necessary. You will not be informed of the results of their investigation either.
