Geek no it isn't and the fact that other users (including me) have deleted and blocked you for it should tell you all you need to know about how well it is received.

Most all of the people on my FL are on every single day GG (including me) and not one of them has EVER sent me multiple requests to play games I don't own or have any desire to play. So that active social excuse is uber lame.

As for Happy Wars unfortunately I have zero interest in the game.

I think you can earn Happy Tickets by playing well in the game. On 360, they do have Bonus Time where when you play during a particular period, you may get bonus rewards or something. I'll play some more tomorrow morning and on the weekend. I once got a
few hundred Happy Tickets for a few dollars or up to NZ$9. Most of the time I always go for the Level Up boost thingy. They maybe able to unify the Happy Tickets and all stats between 360 and Xbox 1 in future Updates. They really need to fix that communication
limit speed thing though. Xbox 360 Happy Wars never did it in my experience.

A friend isn't a friend if you never talk, message and/or play with them. No one matches that description on my friends list and I have a full 360 friends list. About 2/3 of my friends are US/UK well they have a larger population than Australia and New Zealand,
but their time difference is pretty different to us AUS/NZ peps. Despite the time difference, I do manage to get on well with several of my US/UK friends. Those who like to argue on this forum really should try out this game! Ok well it may seem childish to
middle aged peps on here, when I first played the Story mode on 360, it reminded me of the kind of stuff that can go on, on this forum. If we got more peps on here on this game, maybe we'll see less Locked and Deleted threads??

Gameplay rewards you with Happy Coins.

Happy Coins allow you to access the "Happy Shop LITE".

This is a "LITE" version of the full Happy Shop where you cash in your Happy Tickets for rewards.

Not sure how it's different from the "full" version. I can only presume "full version" shop items are or better quality.

I like this game on the surface... but there's no point letting myself like it and getting attached to it if it's going to persistently nag and niggle for me to spend extra money.

Even if I paid what I thought was a fair price for the game, since it is after all free, I would be annoyed that it would still be trying to milk me for more cash.

  5. I loved this game on the 360 but was unable to find ANY match on One so I'm not playing it nowadays (plus I have so many games to finish!)

Yea the matchmaking is still pretty terrible on X1. Even when I get in a match there's a 50/50 chance it will drop on me for "communication error". Which is a bummer because it's pretty fun with a good group of friends.

Xbox 360 suffered from poor matchmaking at the start too... so much I quit playing that game for a couple of months. It takes over one minute just to launch the game and load the main menu on 360. Does anyone know if they've fixed that poor network connection
you're speed has been reduced yet? Xbox 360 Happy Wars never did this to me. I haven't played the game much recently nor have my other friends.

I love how when I played the X1 version of it the first time, it gave me all the achievements I earned on the Xbox 360 version to the X1 version. I just sat there in the game having done nothing while numerous achievement dashboard pop ups appeared I checked
my Gamerscore and it had increased. Easiest achievements I've earned this year. Getting achievements in Life Is Strange is relatively easy too.

Azrael, I don't want to delve too deep into this because it'll drag the thread off-topic (in other words, PM me with your reply, if you have one), but why should I do all of that when it's easier to just send the invite and let you decide to ignore it or
    not?

Sure, I could be nice about it and check 1st to see if anyone is playing it, but depending on the game (in this case, Happy Wars), not many people on my friends list may be playing it, if at all. If nobody's playing it, does that mean I shouldn't bother
inviting anyone or simply decide to not play the game at all? No, it shouldn't - that would dictate which games I play based upon how popular a game is, not necessarily whether or not I would want to play it. That would severely limit which games I play, and
that for me, is not a good idea.

As for sending them a message as to whether they would like to play or not, it is courteous, in a sense, but I could also argue that it's far more intrusive - if I send you an invite, you can ignore it since it goes away in about 3 seconds, but a message?
You'll have to take the time to actually open it up and read it, which takes you away from whatever it is you're currently doing - hence being more intrusive and even potentially rude, depending on how you look at it. Add to that the fact that I am limited
to only sending a message to 32 people at a time and often have more friends than that online at any given time, means I would have to waste time to re-write the message multiple times (and removes any personable aspect to the message automatically, such as
referring to you by name - "hey, Azrael, would you like to play Happy Wars with me?" would not be a message I could send in this case). Furthermore, if I do do this, it would fill up my message queue with my own repeated message, showing an individual message
for all 32+ people that I sent the same exact message to - I don't want to see that over and over again every time I want friends to play with me. That's ludicrous! And I'm relatively sure you don't want to see persistant messages from me asking for you to
    join me either...

Invites are much simpler for everyone involved, since it's quick to send and easy to ignore, so that's what I'm going to stick to. If I do anything else at all, I'd simply post onto my activity feed asking if anyone wants to play a specific game - that way,
if they see it, they can message me back or join me if they have a passing interest at the time.

It's things like this that are why I wish they would bring back, and expand upon, the beacons system from the Xbox 360 console.

As for people who use the video-based apps or watch television, those that don't want to be disturbed will already have their own settings setup so my invites/messages/activity alerts don't disturb them in the 1st place.

No offense, Azrael, but in the name of common courtesy, you made a poor argument.

Weird..I'm in the UK and haven't had any online issues whatsoever yet? Just been playing quick match.

Lobbies fill up quickly too..in fact a little too quickly! I'm sorting out my gear and before i've finished get a warning the games about to start!

My favorite thing about this is the customization, just like PvZ theres so many crazy / weird combinations - i'm currently using a 'dead newt' for a sword on my warrior!
