    I think you just have her standing in front of the Kinect as she signs in. (Make sure she is holding the controller. It will pull up a screen from the Kinect and will ask her which one is her. If her name isn't above her head, have her raise her hand.

    Both Kinect Sensors are designed to be mounted above the television for the best gaming experience possible. You can find more information on the mounting options on the Kinect mounting support pages. I'll provide the links below:

    I believe the best thing to do in my opinion is to have the Kinect sensor for the system you use more frequently above your television. And the one you use less frequently on the bottom.

    The Kinect Sensor for Xbox One is hands-down much better in general.

    How did you mount your Kinect?

    I just modified my 360 kinect TV mount and it works flawlessly with the new connect. It even clips into it and everything. Best part about mounting it on top of the TV is keeping it from my two year old getting his hands on it.

    Hello there,

    The Kinect would NOT be an ideal choice for what he's wanting. Kinect is more so a "camera" for capturing full body and playing Kinect based games.

    You will likely want to look at purchasing a cheap USB webcam that he can either mount or tilt above his hands to capture what he's doing with the controller. (Many streamers do this)

    The webcam will need to be plugged into a PC as well, not the Xbox.

    I havent mounted my new kinect yet, but I plan to buy a small black shelf at target and mount that above my tv. Stick some Velcro from the craft store to the shelf(there is some pretty strong stuff). Then i can stick whichever kinect i need up on the shelf,
    and the Velcro will make sure it doesn't fall off the shelf.
