Halo Waypoint issue (no idea where this goes)

Tried to sign in to the forum there and it just says it can't sign me in, and recommends I go to xbox.com to fix the issue. I've never had this problem before with the account, nor am I banned. It doesn't give any more direction after that.

Any help?

I think Halo Waypoint will continue to exist for Xbox 360 and the Halo Channel is like Halo Waypoint for Xbox One.

Edit: Although it might be a better idea to just stop Halo Waypoint and release a Halo Channel app for the 360 aswell.

Hmm...perhaps it has something to do with updates on Waypoint?

Before I state my theory as to why, could you tell me when was the last time you downloaded/used Waypoint? Or if you can't even interact with Waypoint in general? I last used it before Bungie officially handed it to 343i, and most recently had to go to the
Waypoint site on my computer and re-confirm that my account was in use in order to interact with my account.

 

Just a few days ago I was signed in no problem. Theres no reason I could think of for it to happen really.

 

I'm at a loss then really. I haven't looked into it, but perhaps you can contact some off-site support team that can help you. That's how I regained access to my account after I was in a Family Plan Gold and Microsoft disbanded that function, I had to DIRECTLY
contact support via e-mail. Try doing that for 343i or Halo Waypoint.

I don't know if 343i currently has an off-site support team. Try and Google their e-mail for contact, and send them everything you think they need to know via e-mail. It's the best option you've got.

 

And that is why i dont use halo waypoint.

 

Just for the sake of trying, start a new account.... Just to see if that will work.

Use all the same information, that will let you know if it's an account issue or something else...

I thought Halo Waypoint was discontinued? Or was that the Call of Duty program that was similar to it?

 

@Bonez- Nope. Halo Waypoint still is a currently-used interactive experience for members to share and distribute Halo Content. It will soon be REPLACED with the upcoming 'Halo Channel', as from what I have gathered.

As for Activision disbanding Call of Duty: Elite, I must admit I was frustrated. I never used it prior to BLOPSII, but I really wanted to save full-size PNGs of all my custom emblems on other sites. Now you can't do that. Or even interact with other users.

 

How about playing the game instead of fussing with silly companion apps.....

 

@Bong-...perhaps because he wants to be able to access the content associated with Halo that CAN'T be accessed in game?

The whole point of Halo Waypoint is if you want to immediately launch on-drive games, compare statistics, or watch content while switching back-and-forth between the Halo title you are playing and the app, instead of having to hit the dashboard and launch
YouTube or Internet Explorer seperately to visit the Waypoint site.

 

Cool, I think RvB is neat... Youtube is easy access now along with IE....

Lets follow your logic anyway, You want content you can't use in game. OK.... WHY.

If you are in game, What purpose does a video have??? Stats are found with the Pause button either way the gameplay stops... You are not playing well if you are looking at something else. Besides you have to wait for Waypoint to load anyway...- You
skip 1 step... Nobody needs that info---

It's just a game my friend.... Manny other devices can be used during gameplay anyway...

 

Apparently you've never used Waypoint.

The point to having it is because you have the OPTION of using it. Both on Halo Reach and Halo 4, you can initiate Waypoint right from in-game, and vice versa, so it's more about accesibility rather than app-replacement. I'm wel aware of other apps being
capable of initiating videos, but videos are not the exclusive reason.

If you don't like the fact that some people have actually made use of this app, then all I can do is shrug my shoulders and remain appalled as to why it appears to annoy you.

Besides RvB vids (on Netflix too if you wanna throw app names around) Waypoint also gives you heads ups about balance changes Bungie throws at H:R & H4. You can also look at all the pretty screenshots from Reach while playing H4 & vice versa.
