Halo Wars Definitive Edition Code is Late

I preordered Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition on the 5th of December. It was stated that we'd receive the Halo Wars Definitive Edition on the 20th if we preordered before the 14th. I've still yet to receive my code.

Haven't received DL code for Halo Wars: Definitive Edition

I preordered the Ultimate Edition of Halo Wars 2 on Jan 12, and still haven't received my DL code for Halo Wars: Definitive Edition 11 days later. Please advise.

my halo wars definitive edition does not download and asks me to re purchase halo wars 2 please send me my code for me to get halo wars definitive edition.

 

Same here. Although I did speak to Xbox Support earlier and they said the codes are being sent out in waves/batches. Even though we did pre-order the game a while ago we may not be one of the first to receive the game as they said it make take 24-48 hours
to receive the code starting on the 20th.

This one is dated Dec 20, 2016 and states:

"Codes are rolling out through the coming weeks, but anyone who pre-ordered by December 14 should receive one today, so keep an eye out "

It says on Halo Waypoint anyone that bought it before the 14th gets Halo Wars DE on the 20th.

 

Why does Microsoft put out dates when they can't follow up? There is no reason to say if we pre-ordered before the 14th we should receive code, because most people are still without codes. It is frustrating.

They Start sending them out on the 20th

There is very good reason for.that

One you don't want millions of people.downloading at the same time you wouldn't get the game for weeks because of server backlog

Currently it is hard to get in queue everyone at once would only make the wait even worse

You are getting early access as the de isn't out yet for the general public only preorders

All promotions workplace this to prevent server backlog

As I was in one forthe first wave I can tell you there is server.backlog atm

 

Pre ordered the Ultimate Edition on the 6th of December. I guess the only thing we can do is wait.

 

Preordered the 8th and no code yet. Extremely frustrating. Microsoft is such a disappointment.

The codes start only to send out in the 20th

But as most promotions on most consoles they are sent in waves to prevent long queues of download

Most people who received it so far had to wait to redeem them because of the queues

 

IIf you guys read krazys brutes post you would find your answer

 

Believe me, we've seen that copied and pasted hundreds of times. It is contradictory information and that's why we're bent out of shape about it.
