    Halo Wars DE needs direct x 11_1. How do I get that?


    So looking at this page http://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-titles/halo-wars-definitive-edition-faq#f1749af096904472b5e...
    it states that I need to check my direct X and look under the display tab and see 11_1. I only see 11_0 and some lower ones. I have directX 12 installed, so I need to know how to get it to add 11_1 so I can play HW DE on my PC. When I try to install it,
    it says that I don't have hardware that is needed. I have an older gaming PC but it's definitely powerful enough to play this game. What do I need to do to get 11_1? Thanks.

    Getting the proper directX installed

    states that I need to check my direct X and look under the display tab and see 11_1 under the feature levels. Looking at dxdiag, I only see 11_0 and some lower ones under the feature levels info. I have directX 11.2 installed, so I need to know how to get
    it to add 11_1 so I can play HW DE on my PC. When I try to install it, it says that I don't have hardware that is needed. I have an older gaming PC but it's definitely powerful enough to play this game. What do I need to do to get 11_1? Thanks.

    Issues Downloading Halo Wars DE

    A while ago I purchased the Ultimate Edition of Halo Wars 2 and recently tried to download Halo Wars DE which came with the Ultimate Edition. However, I cannot download it and the Microsoft Store says I need to purchase Halo Wars DE again. Can anyone help?

    I purchased the halo wars 2 ultimate edition pre paid code. My bundle downloaded everything except halo wars de. Am also wondering how to solve this issue?

    Halo Wars 2 not available to download on my PC even though it is already purchased on my Xbox

    It gets a bit complicated. If you have Gamepass then all should instal. The console will allow you to have Halo 5: Guardian, Halo Wars 2, Halo Wars De, Halo Spartan Assault and Halo MCC installed. The PC allows Halo CE, Halo, Halo Forge, Halo Wars 2,
    Halo Wars DE, Halo Wars Spartan Assault, Halo Wars Spartan Strike and Halo MCC to be installed.

    As for paying vs. free, the Microsoft Store should handle that. It might need resetting using a cmd prompt at admin level of wsreset. It takes a bit.

    I have had to uninstall and redownload MCC to get it to capture all, but it works!

    Let us know if you still have problems!
