What kind of Potato Brand hardware are they running in their servers that it can't handle an early access release of a 10GB game? This is Microsoft we're talking about. If they can't let a few thousand people download 10GB in a day, how can they launch
AAA titles at all?

You do realize that the download servers are also Xbox download servers so you aren't just queueing a few thousands you are also handling everyone else's downloads roo

Not to mention most promotions including Sony are handled this way

To prevent such issues everyone suddenly downloading thee same thing all at once puts queues onto the servers you are putting more downloads in one day then normal

Launches for regular Games not just promotions also have issues like cod and your are talking 10s of millions for cod games at launch it maybe patches or complete games

You should at least research how servers work data centres and download servers can't handle 10s millions of downloads all at once the Internet isn't built to handle that from just one service that's why the Internet is built on many networks

NotNot to mention the codes are generated by a small team not an army

It says on Halo Waypoint anyone that bought it before the 14th gets Halo Wars DE on the 20th.
