    Halo Wars 2 - Will Not Download


    Halo Wars 2 will not download. It was updated recently. This was a digital purchase from the Microsoft Store.

    I had installed it previously on my Xbox One and played perfectly.

    When the update came out, the game was deleted and now it won't install. I get the following error code:

    SOMETHING UNEXPECTED HAPPENED

    REPORTING THIS PROBLEM WILL HELP US UNDERSTAND IT BETTER. YOU CAN TRY AGAIN OR RESTART YOUR DEVICE. THAT MAY HELP.

    CODE: 0x80070570





    When I look that error code up it states: -
    Error 80070570 occurs when downloading content from Xbox Live on Xbox 360





    this game is not installed on the Xbox 360. This game just received an update for Hi Definition I believe. I have tried now for 2 weeks every day and it still won't install.

    Hi!

    The same mistake happened to me. I've cleared the cache from the console with the power cycle (Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console) and then downloaded
    right.

    Other times it happened for a server overload, so it's just enough to try it again until install it.

    I'm having similar issue. An update came out for Halo Wars 2. I tried to download it. After 2 attempts, the original install from months ago (I purchased pre-order when it came out), deleted itself and I had to install the full game again, about 43 GB. For
    over 2 weeks now I have tried to download Halo Wars 2 again to no avail. Other games download perfectly, but Halo Wars 2 will not download - keep getting down load error code.

    Do a search for just Halo Wars 2. In the results it should show "Halo Wars 2: Demo, Halo Wars 2, Halo Wars 2: Standard Edition" Try clicking the one in the middle and see if that one will start the install for you. I noticed if I choose the standard
    edition it wants to install on the console.
    ok that worked. It seems odd that the version listed under the game pass is not the one that will allow you to download it...

    It says
    here     on the Microsoft Store that Halo Wars 2 is about a 30GB download.

    With the Ultimate Edition, you're getting the Season Pass DLC and Halo Wars: Definitive Edition (~9GB), making this
    over a 40GB download in total.

    The "finished" parts you see are probably the smaller items getting downloaded first. Allow the game to fully download without interruption.

    halo wars 2 ultimate edition includes Halo wars DE. You should be able to find and download the game under ready to install on my games and apps on your xbox one!

    On PC check the Halo app or the Download and install page on the store!
