    Halo Wars 2 Crashing


    I'm having an issue that started in the last few months. When I try playing Halo Wars 2 with 1-2 other friends, after selecting characters and upon entering the loading screen, my game will crash every single time without fail. They both play on Xbox Series X, I play on PC. I have tried to repair, reset, and reinstall the game completely, nothing has resolved the issue. My friends have also reinstalled on their consoles as well, still crashing. We can load into a private game with each other just fine, it is when we matchmake publicly where we are crashing before loading into any games

    Fair warning the Halo wars 2 beta is a bit laggy and will sometimes crash. Just a heads up.

    Hi,

    There are several reasons why Windows Store, Xbox App, Halo 5 Forge or Halo wars 2 will crash on start up. Have you attempted any troubleshooting steps yet?

    Can you try disconnecting your Xbox One from Xbox Live and starting the game while completely offline? Curious to see if your connection might be interfering with the game. Let us know how it goes :)

    Thanks for the information. I can see that you mentioned having installed the Creator's Update which is good. Can you try reinstalling Halo Wars 2 next to see if that helps?

    If the game still crashes when you reinstall it, post back with a dxdiag of your PC so we can take a look at the specs you're working with and see if we can figure out what's up.
