    Halo Wars 2 Crashing to Desktop


    Sorry there was no Halo Wars 2 section to put this in

    Yesterday I installed Halo Wars 2 on my pc, and every time I launch the game after around 30 seconds it just closes with no error message or noise or anything, straight back to my desktop. Updated all drivers, tried reinstalling etc, same problem. I simply
    cannot play and have no idea what to do.

    Any help would be massively appreciated.

    Halo Wars 2 trouble

    I bought an xbox one that came with a disc copy of halo wars 2 ultimate edition and a digital copy of halo wars definitive edition. On the windows store, it says that I own halo wars definitive edition and all of halo wars 2's dlc, yet it does not give me
    the option to download halo wars 2 on pc. I thought halo wars 2 was an xbox play anywhere game? Do I have to have it fully installed on the xbox for it to work?

    What is your "Greatest Game series" that you've played so far?

    Halo Wars was awesome, I would love to see Halo Wars 2 on the XB1!

    Hello DáireMacDiarmada,

    I was going to ask you if you were in the Insider program, and you say you are.

    It is quite possible that thereis some issue with your installation + the current version of the Insider program.

    I would try to go back to normal Windows 10 and having up to date.

    Tell us if this fixes your issue please.

    Your insider build might be the culprit here, but let me ask you a few things.

    • Are you running the current version of the Nvidia drivers?
    • Have you run into issues running any other games?
    • Have you tried reinstalling Halo Wars 2?

    Currently I'm able to run Halo Wars 2 just fine, but I'm not running the insider version of Windows 10.

    Fair warning the Halo wars 2 beta is a bit laggy and will sometimes crash. Just a heads up.
