    Halo The Master Chief Collection: redeemed but not owned


    I got a code for an Xbox One version of Halo The Master Chief Collection from one of those card things from Target for Christmas. I redeemed the code that was printed on my receipt; but it won't let me download anything. When I checked the Xbox store, it says choose which version to buy: one that is unavailable, and another one that has everything. So basically I own the game but I can't download/play it? How do I either get to a proper customer service that'll give me more help than just power cycling my system, or get a refund?

    Hello chrisgerrad1,

    Thank you for confirming. Halo: Combat Evolved does require Halo: The Master Chief Collection in order to play. Combat Evolved acts as an add-on of sorts for the Master Chief Collection. You will need the full purchase of the Master Chief Collection in order to own all the titles within the package.

    xbox1 and microsoft odst game

    Halo ODST for the Xbox One is an Add-On for the Master Chief Collection. you must own that in order to play it.

    When you fire up the Master Chief Collection, you should be able to start a campaign (under Halo 3) for ODST.
