Halo The Master Chief Collection and Assassin's Creed Unity Achievements not unlocking

Today I rented Halo The Master Chief Collection and Assassin's Creed Unity. I played through three levels in Halo and I realized that none of the achievements I was supposed to be getting were unlocking. I did get one for killing one hundred enemies however,
when I first started playing. The level achievements, terminal, and skull achievements did not unlocked. So I did some research online and read that a bunch of people were having problems, but they only mentioned Halo. I said to myself "Well, good thing
I rented Assassin's Creed as well." Now I'm on Sequence 2 of Assassin's Creed and no Sequence 1 achievement popped. This is the first time this has ever happened to me, but I am extremely frustrated and don't know if I should keep playing, because if these
don't pop after whatever's wrong with the achievement system, then I'm going to have to play all of this over. Already wasted 3 or 4 hours on both games. Hopefully it's fixed soon.

This is just Microsoft being Microsoft, they have a problem like this with live at least twice a month, I really like not being able to connect in Halo MCC matchmaking ever such a quality service

I'm online everyday. I've never seen it happen to this extent. Kind of a bummer. Does anyone know if it's just achievements for new games or across all games. Because I was going to say I guess I could play some destiny. I'd keep playing. I'm just
afraid the achievements I've already gotten will glitch out.

 

My suggestion is not to play if you are an achievement hunter, because it may force you to replay all those achievements again to get them. You probably got the 1 achievement when the service was working, then it crashed. The achievement app is online
verification, and apparently the system is down that verifies them right now. If history serves as any precedent, Microsoft never ran an achievement sweep to pop locked achievements for over 3 months. They claimed 24 to 48 hours, but that system was broken.
They manually ran a sweep around late July and all of a sudden, Thousands of achievements for people all across the lands popped when people logged on. Their system is horrible, and they tell false information about them popping when these outages occur.
If you are an achievement hunter, I would just be safe, and wait till its fixed. no harm in that.

 

Update: My achievements are unlocking now. Achievements I got during the malfunction: still nothing.

 

I completed missions in COD:AW and Assassins Creed Unity last night that should have unlocked and achievements but got nothing in both games. Hopefully I see them pop up soon.

 

A few of my achievements from last night are now showing as unlocked, but there is at least 2 more that haven't

 

The only achievement that is not unlocking right now is when you complete the first mission on Pillar of Autumn. Some achievements didn't unlock right way as well but they eventually popped up. I guess I'll have to wait till that one achievement unlocks
