Halo: The Master Chief Collection & Age of Empires Definitive Edition freeze after giving...

This happens every single time without fail. I can launch both games from the Xbox beta app and they appear to run just fine, but I can't actually get into the game because after launching, I get the Xbox Identity Provider pop-up asking me to log in with
my Xbox account. I do so, and as soon as I hit "Yes" to let the game access my account info, it freezes. From this point the games freeze without the log in pop-up appearing. I can go into my Microsoft account and revoke permission for the game, restart my
PC, and launch the games again to receive the pop-up once more but every time I actually try to sign in, the game freezes right after being granted permission.

I then have to end the game process via task manager. Only after I do this does a "Gaming UI" window pop up, which never advances past 0% and becomes unresponsive if I click anything. Screenshots are included below.

Something about how MCC and AoE are handling the sync with my Xbox account is freezing the games. I installed and ran Dead Cells and logged in through the exact same pop-up and it runs perfectly fine with zero issues after I grant permission.

I'm trying to play each with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
