Halo Reach will not install/launch xbox games pass for PC

First off, what a horrendous mess Halo MCC is. Every time I have tried to manage my installs to play next installment with my buddy I've been forced to reinstall the entirety of every Halo game on the MCC, whether or not I have it selected for install or not. Nearly 130 GB, every. single. time. And even still, it would often fail to install the game despite downloading all the data. Even when I deliberately made sure to manage my installs days beforehand to make sure I had the game installed, I'd be forced to completely abandon my plans because the game simply does not communicate with the app correctly to transmit the information I've told it in the manage installs menu ingame.

Which brings me to my current problem which I cannot resolve or find any means of resolving especially with the new xbox app ui, I cannot install/launch Halo: Reach. Under Manage Installs, it shows Reach as Installed, but when I attempt to launch a new game it tells me that it is uninstalled, asks me IF I would like to install, I say yes, and the box closes, nothing seems to download on the xbox app... not that I could find the downloads section in the new UI... and nothing seems to change in the game and there is zero feedback anywhere to tell me if anything is downloading or not and why it is failing to do so.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times now. This is ridiculous and a waste of my money as this is the main reason I paid for the Xbox Games Pass.

the op is on about the pc version anyway which includes all the content but i know there has been some issues lately with the gamepass version breaking.

no this is the full mcc fully remastered on pc, NOT the 360 versions, this is on PC, the 360 versions aren't even on PC

the MCC version on PC is in excess of 140GB in size, all in full hd, all enhanced and with unlocked framerates, the console version is near the same as halo mcc on pc with some options removed, they are definitely NOT the 360 version.

when purchasing the halo mcc on pc you get ALL the games included now, you can still purchase them separate if you wish.

the gamepass version on pc is also the full mcc with all games included.

on console if you purchase halo mcc then you have to purchase reach and odst separate.

my son uses the gamepass pc version and it has al the contect, also the console version has all the content through gamepass, the only version that you have to purchase reach and odst is the actual console version.

ODST and Reach are part of the console version when you buy it...they don't need to be bought separately. WHen I bought MCC late last year, it was identical to the GP version...unless something has changed since then of course

that is one of the reasons I purchase the games on steam now, in the steam sales you can get the entire halo mcc for as cheap as 13.99 and i and my friends have never had issues with it.

plus no need for a game pass sub either as a lot of the games i have previously tried on game pass pc are limited in some way or just outright broken. plus if I change OS I don't have to reinstall the entire lot unlike with windows app/games.
