Halo reach weird problems

So i have gold membership and i downloaded Halo reach, but it doesn't show up in my game library. When i try to run it from download history it shows black screen and takes me back to my game library. I took a look at storage and the game seem to be incomplete.
I think it doesn't fully download because it took far too fast from about 70% to 100%. Maybe it skipped something . I don't know because i was not watching it the whole time.

a little weird posting this here since it looks like CoD is somewhat rival of halo reach, and almost everyone here will say: "we play reach cause it doesnt have killstreaks or you dont die on 2 shots like on MW"

Reach multiplayer is pretty awful in comparison to Halo 3 imo, i've recently started playing Reach more and it has alot of annoying problems which Halo 3 just didn't have. Halo 3 multiplayer is near perfect.

 

Sorry to hear it. Please try deleting the game then clear your cache and finally redownload it to see if that helps.

So i was watching my download when it was close to 70%. It went to 80% and then suddenly stopped and on one side saying game can't be downloaded. There was no error message. It just stopped downloading for some reason. Probably because my location on xbox
live doesn't match my ip adress.

But i thought if i didn't have problems starting the download it would be fine.

Btw so i also can't buy games using gift cards? Will they have the same problem?

 

I have the same problem. But my problem is with Dishonored too. I've downloaded the game. I've played for a few days, then Deleted. After a week I've decided to download again....and the Issue is the same like to Huntermanaxz. The issue appeared again with
Halo Reach.

 

Huntermanxz, the mismatch with your location is the problem. A download getting to 80% and then resetting to zero is what usually happens with region locked content and locations that don't match. If you can get your location issue squared away you should
be able to download the content. As for the gift cards, they are also region locked and must be redeemed in the same region that they are from. That must also match your location details.

UncountedArc, has any of your location info changed since you first downloaded Dishonored? If you region changed or anything like that you will have the same issue. If all of your info (billing address, account region, and actual physical location) matches
then you have a different problem and should start your own thread in order to get the best help for your issues.

 

Xbox support said if there was a problem with my location then i would just get the "This item is not available from your current location" error. And after it gets to 80% it does not go to zero. It just stops and shows the icon as if the game finished downloading
but in the storage the file is incomplete

 

Hello. I have the location problem with HALO. Which is not correct since I pay for the subscription to enjoy the games yet this does not work. What is the logic behind I can be a GOLD but I cannot access the advantages?

 

Hunter - Homegrown is correct. Downloads stopping at 80% and showing as corrupt are also a sign that it's a region issue.

 

Huntermanxz, what support was referring to is just the region lock itself. You would get "this item is not available..." if the your region was set to somewhere that the game is not availabe (probably what is happening to SteeredPuppy29). The downloading
not completing is from the mismatch of your info. Things need to match for certain content to be able to be downloaded.

 

I cant download the Xbox Live game for gold, it is not showing up on my xbox, or in any part, i am from South Africa, and i cant download Halo Reach coz i cant find the tab to get it from ..... please help

I found it there, but it asking for a payment option and i have a debit card, and well it not allowing me to go further, but it isnt even showing up on the Xbox 360 menus, is there a problem, or are they going to have it up for us before the end of the month??

 

It should show up when you search for the game on the console unless your account region is set to somewhere where the game is not available.
