Halo Reach Steam Version Game bar not working to record clips

are you logged in to gamebar if so try to restart your pc to see if that fixes the issue or delete and reinstall it again

I've only played Reach as the Windows Store version which does not have this issue. I would have thought that this game, with it's reliance on Xbox Live for multiplayer, would not have this issue. How odd...

Does Game show when you press Win+G or the Xbox button if you use a controller?

Regardless of the above, it's possible to record almost anything with Game Bar. Even games that don't support it can still be recorded. The work around is to just press the shortcut keys:

Win+Alt+R - Start/stop recording

Win+Alt+Print Screen - Take screenshot

With the shortcut keys you can record almost anything on your screen, they don't even have to be games.

Make sure Windows is up to date with Windows Updates, just to be safe.

I am not sure if this exclusive to a select amount of PCs yet if you click the Windows icon + G then it will bring up the XBOX Game Bar where you can message friends, access games and record clips. Clips recorded using this method will be sent to a section on the Bar for viewing and will also be in the folders. Yet this way of recording does not work for all games, and probably only works for games owned by Microsoft/ games accessible on XBOX
