Halo Reach needs fresh save file to start correctly on Xbox one :(

Well, been playing Halo Reach a lot on the xbox one with my son, and for the most part besides some slow-down it's been working pretty dang good, until recently .

Got my nephew's account on the xbox one after getting his password reset so he could join the custom games, BUT he ran into the Halo age bouncer, which limited his account. I find the xbox account settings brutal for anyone under 18, so, we changed his
age to allow him to hear our party chat. That's whejhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh; ..n

Transfer profile from Xbox 360 to new profile on Xbox One S - is it possible?

Unfortunately, the saves from the Xbox 360 version of Skyrim are not compatible with the remastered Skyrim on Xbox One.

There's that, and save files are also not transferrable between Xbox accounts.

You will pretty much have to start fresh.

 

More Glitches Skyrim

Many glitches have been patched, but you would need to start fresh for them to work. Once a save file has a game glitch, that glitch is permenant on that character.

ever since that, when Halo reach loads, it crashes and locks up as the planet Reach comes in on the game loading screen. After multiple attempts I found that deleting the xbox 360 save file resolves the issue (once). the next day when playing, the same
issue returns.

so, what would you suggest to do to fix the constant crash issue besides wiping my xbox 360 saves off my system everyday?

update:

attempted a complete uninstall of the game, then deleted local xbox 360 save data, restarted, and reinstalled halo reach and tested. worked fine, then the next day, same issue... Crashes next day on starting the game, and only work-around is to delete
the xbox 360 local save data and re-download....

 

update: still having to erase the xbox 360 local save file and restart EVERY TIME it starts or restarts. today now playing all the characters playing are black. my son's charcter, typically a blue alien, is now also a black Spartan, with black boxes where
the players are. hoping this goes away after testing today.

 

after days of the same thing, Halo reach started without issue Monday. Will test again today, see if issue returns.

Super odd issue that you were experiencing but I'm glad to hear that it seems to have cleared up for you. If it does pop back up for you please create a new thread and let us know

 

Thanks for getting back to me. unfortunately this issue has returned, Halo crashes once the "Bungie" logo appears.

Will start a new thread as suggested.
