    My Xbox One is saying that my Halo Reach Xbox 360 game is not playable, even though the forums says it's a backwards compatible game.

    backwards compatibility.

    its already a month and 2 days ago when the first couple of games with backward compat came out.. when are the halo reach and others coming to backward compat?

    Backward compatability issue please fix!!

    Every time I launch a bacward compatible title on my xbox one it boots up the game normally but as soon as it gets to the,main menu it prompts me to download my xbox 360 profile. Then it says I cannot connect to xbox live and to test my connection even though
    I am clearly connected. Since I have had back compat I haven't been able to save any of,my games or sign in on 360 live on my xbox through back compat. Please help.

    Hi Tio Bene,

    Halo: Reach is backwards compatible, this means that the digital version and disc version should both work on an Xbox One. Here are all our backwards compatible game list: https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/available-games

    For disc-based games that are a part of the Back Compat game catalog, insert the disc and the console will begin downloading the game to your hard drive. After the game has downloaded to your hard drive, users will still need to keep the game disc

    Issue Downloading Halo: Reach DLC Packs.

    "Players will need to buy Xbox 360 DLC through the console itself."

    OK, I did that three years ago when I bought Halo: Reach.

    "If you already own DLC for backwards-compatible Xbox 360 games, you should be good to go, as all DLC will be automatically downloaded with the game."

    The map packs did in fact appear as available downloads for Halo: Reach on the Xbox One, but not the extra armor, etc.

    Hello MiniBobcat25005,

    You can visit
    marketplace.xbox.com/.../66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8024d53085b     and purchase Halo: Reach directly from there as long as your region permits it. Select "Download to 360" and then sign into your Xbox One, go to My Games and Apps, go to Games and scroll right
    until your Ready to Install section is in view. You should see Halo: Reach available to download. Press the Menu button (Start) and click Install. Your backwards compatible game should begin downloading then.

    No, sorry, you can't play Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One, even if they are digitally downloaded. At this point in time the Xbox One isn't backwards compatible. The games are linked to your account but the Xbox One simply can't run Xbox 360 games.
