Halo Online PC footage in 4K

What is Halo Online?

"Halo Online is a free-to-play, PC-exclusive Halo game for Russia only. The game include classic weapons and vehicles, fan favorite maps (and a few new ones, one of which includes a Russian town), and is optimized for keyboard and mouse controls." -IGN



Looks pretty good considering it's going to be a free to play game. Not sure why Microsoft is only making it exclusive to Russian gamers.

Here's some 4K GoW 4 footage

yes it is xbox footage. it is not xbox one footage though. keep in mind, xbox is a plattform now and also available to PC gamers.

 

4K 30bits and 36 bits combined with full-rgb output broken.

On the Xbox One S when selecting 4K output with either 30bits or 36bits and the pc RGB colour space (full-RGB 0-255). It'll actually output at the standard colour space (limited-RGB 16-235), despite the menu claiming 4K+30bits+pc RGB.

When using 4K with 24bits colour per pixel and pc-RGB it'll output at those settings.

Expected:

4K + 24bits + pc RGB: 0-255

4K + 30 bits + pc RGB: 0-255

4K + 36bits + pc RGB: 0-255

Reality:

4K + 24bits + pc RGB: 0-255

4K + 30 bits + pc RGB: 16-235

4K + 36bits + pc RGB: 16-235

 

Yawn.

Why would you want to make HALO a 4K game?

Wouldn't you be better off making something that looks good (and HALO looked great back in the day) before you start stopping people on the bus and complaining that the low resolution of real life pales in comparison to what you get when you play on PC?

 

The games does looks great like I said considering that it's running on a modified version of the Halo 3 engine and it's a free to play game.

This game won't only run in 4K (if that is what your saying), whoever was playing the game had their graphics card set to output at that resolution. The purpose of the video was to show off the maps.
