    Halo: ODST


    I just heard about the 343 Industries giving away Halo: ODST free when it releases to people who played online in Halo between release date and December 19th. I purchased the game the day it came out (Nov 11th), but I never touched the game because of all
    the issues with online. So I wont be getting Halo: ODST for free because I chose not to play the game during the time it was unplayable even though I was one of the people who paid the 60$ the day it came out?

    Picture it like this if you are wondering why I didn't play the game up to that point. Let's say you paid for a vacation in full that is redeemable at anytime. The place you are wanting to go to is having terrible weather, and it will be just as bad for
    the next month. You wouldn't want to schedule the vacation during the bad weather, you'd wait until the weather is nice and everything is perfect, correct? I didn't want to play Halo: MCC while the online portion of the game was unplayable. Why would anyone
    want to attempt to go through that struggle. It doesn't make sense that I'd be ineligible to receive this because I didn't want to spend all day staring at a game struggling to load.

    Did you load the game or play any single player while connected to Live? I believe you may still get it if you did.

    No I didn't start playing until the day before or of Christmas. I did install the game the day I purchased it and I did enter in the Halo Channel app. I just wanted to wait until the game was moderately better before I started playing anything involved with
    it. If I was going to play story that would make me want to play online, and with how it has been that would of just ruined the experience.

    New to Halo, worth a buy?

    I loved Halo 3: ODST.

    And as others have said I would play in order Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST, and Reach whenever.

    Thank you M$ and 343 for ruining Halo

    Halo ODST didn't have a MP, it's MP was Halo 3, so anyone playing the ODST MP disk would have counted towards Halo 3, not ODST.

    so what you're saying is halo3's muliplayer online numbers were inflated by odst owners?

    and if odst had contained it's own muliplayer then halo3 might have had a lower playerbase than it did. making halo 4 numbers look better. ok lol

    Halo OT > Halo 4 > crap > Halo: ODST > the crap ODST spawned from > Halo: Reach

    Halo3: ODST and Halo 4: Sparten in Halo: The Master Chief Collection?

    Hey there,

    The Halo Master Chief Collection does not include Halo 3: ODST, but it should include Halo 4: Spartan Ops. Halo 3: ODST is available on the Xbox Store as an add-on for Halo: MCC.
