Halo: Nightfall will not download

Digital copy of Halo: MC. I go into the Halo Channel, click on Nightfall, there is no 'play' button, only 'buy Halo' , I click on 'Buy Halo' and it takes me to the game menu. I click on Nightfall and it takes me back to the Halo Channel page. Endless loop.

I know there are several other threads about this issue with hundreds of people complaining about the same issue, however, seen as it looks like no one at Microsoft is actually getting off their **** to DO something about this, I figure I'll post an entirely
new thread, rather than just adding to the ones that currently exist and are obviously being ignored.

The problem seems to be something as simple as 'Nightfall requires download code; digital version of game has no download code; therefore digital version of game cannot download Nightfall', which seems to be just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard, but
then nothing surprises me from Microsoft anymore. I mean, it seriously didn't occur to ANYONE there that the digital version will not come with a code, and so it might bean idea to alter the digital version of the game so that the Halo Channel knows you OWN
the game that's sitting there on your hard drive??? No? Didn't occur to anyone? I swear to god at Microsoft's head offices there's just a bunch of chimps on unicycles....

Halo 5 Beta

Why? Did you watch all of the Halo: Nightfall episodes? If so, you will unlock the "Nightfall" armor for Halo 5 under the rewards tab at the top right of the screen and it will prompt you to download the Halo 5 Beta.

 

Halo channel says I need to buy MCC to watch nightfall, but I already have.

If you had the Halo Channel prior to using the download code for Bundle, you might want to remove both Halo Channel and Nightfall, then sign out of your profile. Next, press and hold the power button for ten seconds, until the console shuts down, unplug
from power for the recommended five minutes, then power back up, sign in and download the Halo Channel and then Nightfall. You have the license for both, therefore should not be prompted to purchase.

Navigate to the Halo Channel app, locate nightfall and try to play an episode.

It's now 10pm in the East on 15 November, 2014... You have had a WEEK to solve this problem... Episode 2 premiers on 17 November (aka - MONDAY)... So this is what I'm going to do: you (Microsoft) have until 10pm on 16 November, 2014 (tomorrow night) to
either resolve this issue successfully -OR- email all purchasers (including myself) of The Master Chief Collection Digital Edition a redeemable prepaid code (like the one in the Disc Edition) so that they may watch Halo: Nightfall... If this is not done, then
bright and early Monday morning I am going to call the bank that issued my VISA credit card (it's most probably an unfortunate situation for debit card users) and report the purchase of The Master Chief Collection Digital Edition as a fraudulent transaction
whereby the aforementioned goods and services were not delivered and the merchant of the same refuses to rectify or even satisfactorily acknowledge the situation... At which point I will have my money back by lunchtime (I am a very good customer at my bank)
and I will go purchase a Disc Edition at my local GameStop... I spend hundreds of dollars a month through the xBox LIVE service for games, videos, etc. I expect BETTER SERVICE than this... In fact, I may return my recently purchased xBox ONE over this... There
is no reason to not either issue everyone a code or simply make the videos available through xBox video and give all purchasers of The Digital Edition at least a temporary license until the situation is resolved... Instead, you offer silence and meaningless
platitudes...

 

^^^^^ I second this. you have until the release of episode 2 or I will dispute this charge.

 

And you might say that we all agreed to a "no refunds on digital purchases" term under our contract to use the xBox LIVE service, but you cannot enforce a contract which has no performance under law. To wit: any contract which includes the term that if
agreed upon goods or service (which are being sold or exchanged for monies or value) are not performed/delivered/rendered/etc., even if agreed to by all parties to the contract, is by law an illegal contract and is therefore void and unenforceable and therefore
has no performance under law (ie - it cannot be used to refuse a refund). It's a simple and basic tenet of all contract law going back hundreds of years and is in fact the origin of the term "Black letter law," having been the key point in a landmark legal
decision by Justice Black.

 

I don't have access either. The game plays great though.

 

So the halo channel just downloaded a 41 MB update -AND- shocker of shockers it's still not working... Episode two isn't available yet so I haven't called my bank yet because surprise I have a life and 2 hours on the phone is a waste of my time if you would
just solve the problem... I simply can't understand why you haven't done anything??? The master chief collection was advertised as including access to Halo nightfall... This was false advertising at the very least if you refuse to fix this problem... I have
never had a problem with Microsoft that was not resolved QUICKLY and courteously and to my satisfaction... I am a Microsft Certified technician - this just isn't the level of service that I am used to... Please solve this problem NOW...

 

Yeah so it is 6 p.m. on november 18th here in europe. Nightfalk episode 2 is still showing coming soon. Whats the deal? Cant xbix post something about this issue and what is going on? Is there an eta for a fix?

We are receiving reports that this issue has been resolved. Please go ahead and give the following steps a try:

• From the Dashboard, navigate to the Halo Channel app.
• Select Menu and then select Quit.
• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and navigate to the Halo Channel app.
• Select the Halo Channel app and under the Feature tab, select Play.
