Halo Multiplayer Required?

Hey all,

So I have had Halo 5 since the day it came out. I recently got a free month of Game pass and although I liked it, it was not for me. When I had gamepass I noticed that I could not play halo with my disc installed.

Fast forward to my game pass expiring. Now when I try and play multiplayer, the game says xbox live is required to play and prompts me to buy game pass.

Some how the game is running on game pass and not off Cd maybe? Can anyone help? Should I reinstall? I still have my gold account, I can play other online games.

Right...but If I bought 2 12 month subscription cards now, can I use one this year and one next year

You can purchase 5 years of Live Gold membership on 5 12 month cards and activate each one as each year expires. Or you can activate 3 12 month cards and have a total of 36 months of maximum subscription and then activate the 2 12 month cards.

If you buy 1 year of Live Gold subscription, it will last for 1 year. Now if you had a Live Gold subscription and subscribed to the Game Pass Ultimate subscription you are informed that your subscription will be converted and a conversion fee will apply before confirming.

You can buy 12 months of Live Gold at 3rd party stores in prepaid code and activate in your account.

By conversion fee do you mean that the good plan that I was grandfathered into that you decided to stop selling would not be possible for me to re enroll in? Yeah that’s shady.
