Randver, no and no. They had me shut off all of the other devices on the network and run a speedtest. They would then run a test on their end that never worked due to technical issues. It's at this point that I would get the equivalent of "call us back if
it happens again."

iBakez, it's AT&T, so yes. It's 250 or 350GB I think. We can't wire the console due to practical reasons. Not often; I'll maybe play an hour a day.

Randver, my router is not from AT&T.

If you hit your cap I could see why you're getting such slow speeds, I assume they throttle rather than cut you off. I find it amazing they didn't have you power cycle all your hardware, that could solve your problem easily.

If it's not a cap issue you may want to consider a higher end router with gaming in mind if your using just a generic router.

 

We use a Westell Versalink Model 327W, if you're curious Randver. I'm not an expert on networking, so maybe some of you can tell me whether that's okay or if I might need a better one.

As for throttling, I guarantee you that's what happens. My brother figures that with all of the HD programs we watch each week, it simply adds up (at least 20+ shows or so between the 2 of us). The fact that they feel the need to punish their consumers for
over-using their service quite disgusting.

That router is nearly a decade old (released 2005). Nothing is going to help when you hit your cap obviously but if your experiencing lag/latency or much slower download speeds between wired/non wired devices a new router could make a huge difference.

Much of the performance increase would be dependent on what your ISP and modem supports ( modem owned by you or provided?). If you aren't hitting anywhere close to the advertised download speeds your paying for then upgrades are definitely in order.

 

I just read something for that model number, dated May 2004. At the very least, if it was me and had the cash, I would definitely upgrade.

 

I unlocked the first 3 skulls in Halo MCC CE. I can't seem to find where to turn them on. I'm new to Xbox One. They show up in achievements..... How do I turn the ones I've found on. I clicked on the achievement for the skull, it tells me all about what
the skull does but no where to turn it on. I've looked everywhere I could find, but can't find anywhere to turn them on.

 

Really? Just save and quit from whatever game you're in, go into the mission select, and it should walk you through scoring, difficulty, and then skulls. You can activate any skull you like because they're all unlocked from the start. Just highlight one
with the (left) stick and press A to activate it.

 

Thanks! Very simple... I was going into achievements to turn them on... and couldn't find anything to turn them on. I guess game logic is quite different than apps.

Thanks again Jelhunted., I appreciate it. I've been playing this game since its conception, not multiplayer but single player. (Too old to keep up with younger peoples fast reflexes these days on multiplayer!!!)

 

Just got a message from Xbox; they have added 1 month extra of Gold to my account for supporting Halo:MCC.... nice!

I'm on my Xbox 1 just logged onto it and fired up Halo MCC haven't been on it since early last month, no XBL Updates since then, and when I launched it, 3 Achievement notifications popped up! I guess they fixed Achievements for Halo MCC. I'm in a Team Slayer
multiplayer lobby and matchmaking is working!! I'm actually IN a multiplayer game in Halo MCC. Last time I was here, matchmaking was broken.
