    Halo MCC update download possible fix


    If you are having long download times for the update(not game install) here is what I did, and it worked for me.

    after an hour at 3% I removed the disc from the xbox, and it automatically jumped from 3%-20%. I am presently at 84% after about 10 mins.

    still long for my internet connection(54 download) but given the traffic for this release, understandable. I hope this helps some people.

    as for digital customers, I apologize if you read this and are let down that I am unable to help you.

    Another thing to try is to disconnect your xbox one from the internet and install the disk then. Reconnect to the internet and download the 15-20GB update after that.

    Confirmed that this is happening for the Halo 2 update of MCC with no possible workaround as of today, May 18th 2020. I cant even play the portions of MCC that ARE downloaded because it will not allow it. This is crazy. This is a service that is being
    paid for. It's not just through the Xbox Beta program, it occurs directly in the MS Store. This needs a fix like yesterday. Stop closing threads when they're still pertinent.

    There was a... ta da.... Update for Halo MCC which I downloaded about 3 hours ago 88mb big. Maybe that update fixed Multiplayer? I'm giving up with multiplayer at least until next week. All my other friends also are just playing the campaign. Am enjoying
    the CE and Halo 2 campaign. One of my FAV Youtubers is even doing gameplay of MCC Halo 2 campaign on his channel.

    No games will install whatsoever. I get no error message, it simply just doesn't try to install at all. I have the basic Game Pass subscription for PC.

    I'm having the same issue! I can't start Master Chief Collection after the Halo 2 update. I uninstalled MCC and now I can't even reinstall MCC! other games seem to be fine starting the download but none of the Halo games work anymore.

    I'm on my Xbox 1 just logged onto it and fired up Halo MCC haven't been on it since early last month, no XBL Updates since then, and when I launched it, 3 Achievement notifications popped up! I guess they fixed Achievements for Halo MCC. I'm in a Team Slayer
    multiplayer lobby and matchmaking is working!! I'm actually IN a multiplayer game in Halo MCC. Last time I was here, matchmaking was broken.
