HALO:MCC Something Went Wrong Error?

I put this in the wrong area,

So i preordered the Halo MCC from the Aus store, and is was all finished and ready to go, i think it was something like 59.6 something on the "manage game" option.

Come last night at unlock time for Western Australia i notice the game starts redownloading and got as far as 1%, then i just left the Xbox on and went to bed.

I check on it this morning and its still at 1%, I went into manage game and it appears i have two copies of the game one on the internal drive and one the external drive.

The one on the internal has the image with the MC's head with Pre-Order text written on it and has the Halo: Boom DLC next to it, then the one on the External has a blue stary background with HALO on it and the Halo MCC text written on it.

If i go to the store page it has the option to "play" but when i press on that i get "Something went wrong" error.

So i went back into manage game and uninstalled the one on the external, no problems, then uninstalled the one on the internal and it uninstalled the Halo: Boom DLC only and not the game, nothing happens now when i try to uninstall the game.

If i back to the store it still has the option to "play" but i still get the "Something went wrong" error, I can't uninstall the game, can't download the game or play it.

Something Went Wrong..

I belive they are experiencing some trouble today again, i'm trying to purchase FIFA 15 today, and keep getting those Ooops, something went wrong errors for the majority of the day.

Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering 0x80072efe at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate. You might find help for your task here on Xbox. From Home, press the menu button on your controller, then choose Help.

I have seen this message almost every time i try to boot about half of my games, free or other wise, along with a slew of other errors, all of which turn up no results. Furthermore, there is no legitimate Xbox support for me to turn to anymore. Things like
this were the whole reason I went to the PS4 in the first place. It would be 10/10 if I could play my FREE games on the account upon which they were "purchased" instead of getting errors saying "Something went wrong" every single time I try to launch it.

Such a helpful error message, btw.

I had this issue this morning. Hold the power button for 10 seconds until it shuts down. That should fix it so you can play the game.

Here is what i did last night.

When i switched on the Xbox Halo had completely disappeared from the console, wasn't in my ready to install list and the option from the store page was to re-buy the game.

I cleared the persistent storage, then did a hard reset (hold the power button for 10 seconds) then unplugged the power from the back of the Xbox for about 5 minutes.

Powered back on and Halo was now appearing in my ready to download list, I started the download last night and checked this morning and i was about 35% through so i will check again tonight.

Im still confused. You turned on your xbox, then just held down on the xbox button on your controller then also held down on the xbox button?

i had error With updating one x i did if i remember hold Down button while verifying in Controller then holding Down at Xbox shut it Down then it rebooted downloaded a New update after waiting for it some weeks or days at insider it donwladed a second
update With always failing at first update then failing after second boot it installed NeXT update try pressing holding on Controller and powerbutton it also did not turn on after pressing awhile it worked and after a while it worked i got nightmare was it
changed to 360 servers login servers but custom mac was not of internett yet so i could not use account and luckily it updated to a new Xbox one in other systemupdate after turning off Automatic updates my custom wifi mac adress was locked too in NeXT update
but got diffrent custom mac offline before NeXT update and did not Connect correctly to internett then just youtube i waited several moths after being warned about this and got changed mac afress before update and updated to 3 gb updates and was not able to
factory reset to use standard mac after many months there was also a problem With games modern warfare bulletstorm red dead redemption and a horror game in game pass it also restarted console in modernwarfare after Reading agreement after connecting to servers
via vpn it just shut of rebooted console only way to get into With wifi seriosly laaged behind and i had to use some chinese vpn protocoll bypass and i got around 100 MBit instead of 10 to use diffrent custom mac then no Connection to login because 360 are
blocked from isp then mac blocked from internett then youtube then i use same mac as everyone else i probablt have to take off Automatic updates too so Power dont shut off while updating at time of being updated bulletstorm picked up minigun after system reset

Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to this issue, have you already tried the

Power Cycle step as suggest by the Ambassador? If so, and since you've already done a

factory reset the next step in troubleshooting this issue would be to do an
Offline System Update. If you have not done so, I would recommend trying this step as it may resolve the update issue.

Hello Sanjay,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Taking your console to a Microsoft store is a viable option. They can perform the offline update for you. Before you take it in, be sure to call in to set up an appointment first.

Aside from that, did you try both versions of the factory reset?
