HALO MCC Questions for those that know???

I use DD's mostly, but haven't downloaded a pre downloadable version of any game. So a few ?'s.

1- does it work? I've read many complaints both with Sunset & most recently MW:AW, where people have had to redownload the game. That sorta defeats the purpose of pre downloading right? The purpose of it seems to be to play @ midnight. And I know there's
a 20 gig update apart from the game itself, which I believe is 40 gigs, making it bout 60 gigs, so...any had a seamless purchase on a pre download?...

2- do we get all the pre order bonus content on this pre download?

3- I have read many posts and blogs and all seem to indicate that the beta for HALO 5 guardians is available only on disc. So, do we have access to the beta if we use DD of MCC?

just questions unanswered. Any insight would be great. Cheers.

To those having install issues, do as other have said, make sure to update halo mcc and make sure you have the disc in when installing, the campaign resides under the halo 3 campaign in halo mcc.

 

I personally have not had any problems with digital downloads. So far I have pre ordered digital downloads of Sunset Overdrive, COD: AW, Halo:MCC, Forza Horizon 2, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Madden 15, and Dragon Age Inquisition. The ones that have
been released have had no problems with. Others have I guess it just depends on your connection/luck in some cases.

 

Regarding question 1 - yes it works. I believe there was/is an issue with COD but I pre-downloaded Destiny and that worked perfectly. The download gets to 99% complete before release and then finishes instantly after release.

I've pre-downloaded MCC - have total confidence in it.

Regarding 2 and 3 - I can only speculate but I think pre-ordered DD will also get the same benefits.

Yeah...from the responses I got, you don't really have those ?'s answered. Midnight patch is cool, but I see no reason to pre download yet. Why would someone if a physical copy offers more? Well see, but kinda sad so far...

 

To answer your second question, pretty sure you get the bonuses as well. I don't know what they are for MCC but check your email for possible codes or whatever it is. And the beta will be available in game so anyone with the game (digital/disc) will be able
to play it.

 

Ye the patch is available now and its only 15 Gig (wow, feels wrong saying ONLY 15 Gig)

what bonus content are you reffering to dude?

I got the grunt skull with mine - the game will be the same as the disk one so the Halo 5 guardians beta will be available too.

 

OP - I've just checked, with regards to question 3...Halo 5 Beta is for ALL Halo MCC purchasers.

It's not a "pre-order" bonus - it's part of the Halo MCC release <period>, so DD will include Halo 5 Beta.

So - the only question left to answer is Q2 - as iBakez said, what pre-order bonus? (Sometimes this is retailer based, hence it could be a "no").

 

You get everything you would if you bought it disc. I bought all my games Digital and have had no problem with it.

 

My forza horizon 2 didn't unlock on time other than that I've had no problems

 

K killers, if I'm wrong 1 or 2 days ain't gonna kill me. BTW, bonus content is subjective so yeah...oh...no, you don't get every thing as if you bought the disk. Not that it matters but...yeah... Duncare really, just getting info...tY, Cheers.
