Halo MCC launches Gaming Services in MS Store

I experienced the same issue and followed the troubleshooting steps listed on thread

After the App repair/reset, I experienced the same issue. After running, as admin, the wsreset.exe, the app is no longer found on my device.

I'm left in a limbo of having the game installed but not being able to access it or even uninstall it. The game no longer shows under my Apps. I've attempted to uninstall by deleting (as admin) the entire HaloMCC file from C:\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps, but it's unclear what's happening: After Windows catalogs all the files, the normal "deleting" window disappears and will not relaunch unless I restart Windows, when the cycle repeats. (Update: I was able to manually delete all files and folders under HaloMCC except Halo1,2,3,3odst, and 4. I was able to delete all files in each of those folders except the build folder under halo1>original). If I try to reinstall the game through Xbox App store, it immediately fails with a generic "Something unexpected happened" error. When attempting to install through MS Store, nothing happens when I click install, and under "manage" it does not show my computer as a registered device (not sure if that's from wsreset). Dead end there as well.

Any insight would be helpful.

Since you have already tried troubleshooting the issue and it still persists, the best option would be to get in touch with our online chat support to get your issue resolved. Access Contact us | Xbox Support, follow the instructions after clicking on the green button "Contact us" and choose to get help from an online chat agent.

Hi Christopher - thank you for the response.

Okay, I've uninstalled the xbox app completely and I then launched MCC from the start menu and the MS Store and all the games are still showing as locked out.

I've tried launching Reach and Halo 4 directly from the installed page on the MS Store but that doesn't seem to trigger anything.

I've tried reinstalling the xbox app and launching halo 4 from there and it's the same problem.

I've tried launching it in the cloud and that does work, all the games are unlocked.

Any ideas?

I had it then one time i deleted it to make some place for another game but when i came to reinstall Halo MCC it was just gone, nowhere to be found, even when i go on the Xbox Store and type Halo, the only result i get is: halo 5, halo wars 2, etc but no
MCC at all, and i even have Halo MCC Insider installed on my Xbox right now, but everytime i try to launch it just don't

Confirmed that this is happening for the Halo 2 update of MCC with no possible workaround as of today, May 18th 2020. I cant even play the portions of MCC that ARE downloaded because it will not allow it. This is crazy. This is a service that is being
paid for. It's not just through the Xbox Beta program, it occurs directly in the MS Store. This needs a fix like yesterday. Stop closing threads when they're still pertinent.

Halo 3 ODST is an add-on for the MCC so it needs the MCC installed as well. Have just checked the Store and ODST can't be bought separately so it must be the MCC add-on:
