Halo: MCC Is Golden

The massive downloads don't bother me. I have a 2 TB ext. hdd plus the 500gb int. hdd. If anybody is worried about space you could always by a ext. hdd. Now a days they are really cheap. I picked mine up at Best Buy for $90. They are always having sales
just like any other place.

 

Well Hairy, it's obviously clear that you know your technical terms far better than I do, but be that as it may, I was talking about actual physical books, not digital ones.

I thought we had passed the physical aspect when someone said that all games were going to go digital, so they had best get used to it.

As i said on a personal level, i seriously hope not. As i prefer Physical media to Digital. But that was why i was explaining why Games, are completely different in digital format, to all other types of digital Media. Only because of the size they are now
approaching. It is insane really

@GG the biggest books in the library are the ones with the fewest words ;-).

I'm a big Halo fan, and have owned all of them. I think this would be a great collection for someone new to Xbox. However, I feel sorry for people that have no internet, poor internet or data caps. Most games understandably have updates, but I feel it is
wrong for content to not be in the box. Either 2 discs or a dual layer disc.

 

I myself prefer physical media. Why

Because people like me who live in a state no one knows about (Iowa) we have crappy slow internet here

I get like a 2.5gb dl. 20gb is going to take so god dang long. I seriously dont understand why this cant be on 2 disc. There is no reason for a stupid 20gb day 1 mandatory install for this...

Lloydy, that's because some of the biggest books often have pictures, in full-colored, high-quality ink taking up multiple high-quality pages - that's also why they're often more expensive. Some are so big they actually take up multiple books - they usually
call those textbooks or encyclopedias - and those, they have lots of words and are incredibly expensive.

I am on a Microsoft Forum, discussing a Microsoft Game in general. It would be an easy assumption to make. And an assumption that i won't purchase it. Why would i not, it is an awesome set of games for the price...... I will just use my boys account when

More of a loss for M.S.. I had several 360 s, where I could bounce from room to room if necessary if people in the household wanted to use a certain T.V./system; count me out of buying multiple X1's just because of the huge data requirements, as it would
be futile to move to another room just to find out I needed a 20Gb patch to play.

I'm impatient...I'll find something else to do before waiting for huge downloads. Some of my friends refuse to buy a X1 because their internet is terrible; with one friend packing up his X1 the day after buying it because of the 16Gb patch for Dead Rising

My interest is back for Halo M.C.C. because some have told me that campaign could be played without the patch; I never liked Halo online. I'm probably the odd man out...I believe most people are geeked for playing this game online. The 20Gb patch might be
the deciding factor on whether they get the game. A deciding factor of "no" would be a "loss" for M.S.

I have other hobbies, so while a game that looked like a day one purchase falls though may be a small disappointment; I wouldn't call it a loss.

One other thing...When the X1 was first revealed, Don Mattrick mentioned the system could be updated using your phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot. I don't know many people that could do that with the huge updates this system gets, unless they are paying hundreds
of dollars in overages. ;-)

But if i buy the pre order via PC. Would i be able to download it on my pc onto a Flashdrive and plug it into my x1 and transfer?

Or does it have to be done directly through the x1?

 

To my knowledge, if you pre-order from xbox.com, it will automatically download to your console.
