Halo MCC for Xbox 1 comes out Tuesday 11/11/2014.

It's Sunday night for me and the game comes out Tuesday. I haven't pre-ordered the game yet but might pre-order tomorrow. The reason why I haven't pre-ordered it is because the NZ government can be a bit late with rating games. When Halo 4 came out it was
M but the following week it got labelled R13 and it's illegal to sell R rated games without the R rating sticker. My game came without the R13 sticker because they were late in rating it, this is why I haven't pre-ordered Halo MCC yet. EB NZ's site shows it
with the NZ R16 but JB Hi Fi's picture of the game only says Check Classification symbol or something.

I can either get it from EB Games for NZ$109.99 who is doing a pre-order special where you get the Bandana Skull (I've tried on Halo CE Anniversary it's so hard getting that skull) but I get the code and the Bandana Skull will already be unlocked to me in
the game right? The other retailer JB Hi Fi is offering it for NZ$94 but the Bandana Skull (and another Skull) is exclusive to EB Games. I heard also there may be a humungous 15GB or so Update. I like Halo have Halo Wars, 3, CE Anniversary, Reach, and 4, but
only tend to sometimes play 4 and Reach.

Looking forward to playing it when it comes out. Have 127GB free space on my console's HDD. Only have about 12 Xbox 1 games Skype Youtube and IE on my console. Will probably need to get an external HDD retailers in my country tend to sell a lot of Seagate
HDD's.

Did you play Halo: MCC during the eligible time period? In order to qualify, you would have needed to play Halo: MCC between 11/11/2014 - 12/19/2014. If you did not play during that time, you do not qualify for Halo 3: ODST.

I'm not a Halo fan at all, but this does look like it will be good. Tons of content so it's definitely gonna get you your monies worth. I bet it'll sell a few systems.

 

Agreed @brand. I wont actually pick it up until next year Myself but it's definitely one of the most talked about games I've seen in a while.

 

Can you not get it digitally instead of on a disc?

I wouldn't buy MCC on a disc. The disc only pre-loads the first 45GB. You still have a 15GB to download.

If you borrow/rent the disc, install, then purchase it digitally, the disc install doesn't have to be deleted. The digital license will take over and you won't need the disc in the console any longer.

It's Monday evening for me I went to EB this morning squeezed it in, and ordered it. I checked EB Games Australia's site which is selling it for $99 and EB NZ is only selling it for $109 because of the NZ$. I wanted to get it now to get that Bandana Skull
unlocked code as it will really help me with the campaign. Game comes out tomorrow. Wooo

I want to get the disc as our household has only ADSL Broadband speeds and 80GB/month I use most of it. I've heard there's something like a 15 or 20GB Update am with Spark NZ tested and I get 11mb/s down and 0.9mb/s up It will probably take about 3-4 hours
to download the Update and maybe 8 hours to download the game digitally. That's why I get the disc. I get games like Minecraft digitally cuz I love them (don't get me wrong, I love Halo) but the download size is small only about 500mb for digital Minecraft
X1 version. On their site it looks like our government isn't late with classifying this game it showed the game with an R16 sticker.

What the heck are the Skulls, anyway? My disc arrives Tuesday, and it had a Skull preorder bonus. (Also a Halo licence plate frame lol)

 

I'll purchase digitally just before end of November, so I get my 3 digital game purchase punchcard done before it ends. Got to much to play still, so although I'm really pumped for this I will only probably just start playing it in December.

 

@ZenSteve, The skulls serve as game modifiers that can be activated and deactivated to add different variations to the game.

Pre order skull is grunt party - if you headshot them they explode like pinatas and its says 'yaaaaaaaaaaay'

 

I have mine pre-ordered digitaly it says I will be able to play it at 10:00 pm est. Can't wait to swap back and forth between the original and the remastered versions.

I hope that you all enjoy the Master Chief Collection

As for me, I am all " Haloed Out " and I've played every Halo game except Halo Wars and Halo Spartan Assault (or whatever that " Twin Stick Shooter" version of Halo is called).

The only way that I would pick-up another Halo game (yes, I wouldn't even get another Halo game even if they re-mastered Halo Reach the way that they did Halo 2 in the MCC collection) is if I can fully customize my character.
