Halo: MCC Day One Patch

Hello,

I pre-ordered the Halo MCC game digitally a week ago and have since downloaded what my console sees as the full game, at 45.6 GB, but on the online marketplace it's stated that the download size is 59.11 GB. That's a 13.51 GB difference, which I
presume is the difference of the 15 GB day one patch for the game.

My problem here is that I cannot find a way to download that patch. I haven't received any prompts when signing in, nor has the console started an automatic download, though I've been checking to see if it'd download for the last few days.

I'd prefer not to uninstall/delete the current game content that has been downloaded in order to re-download the full 59.11 GB, but at the moment that's looking like the only way so I can play it once it's launched.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Should I leave the current download as it is, or uninstall it and re-download the entire thing?

Release game now, patch later makes these consoles online-only

A 15GB day one patch for Halo MCC, and multiplayer isn't working well despite the game has received at least 3 other Xbox Live Updates since it came out. I still like Halo though. Halo 2 MCC Campaign looks amazing and got some fun out of it. Haven't gotten
around to completing much in the game as I like to play other stuff on Xbox. That 15GB patch is the biggest patch I've had to download day one for any game in my life.

With all the hate 343 has got these years (Halo 4,Halo MCC,Halo Guardians beta). I'm really surprise.

Day one buy,anyway.

 

Can you put the console into Instant On (Settings>Power&Startup) and turn the console off? If you use an external hard drive as default storage method, make sure you uncheck the box that says "switch off external storage when console is off".

Leave it for an hour or two and power it back on and hopefully the game is downloading the update now (if not already complete, dependent on your connection speeds).

I can understand not wanting to redownload the 60GB game with release time looming so close now. With these steps, you should avoid any need for that.

Your suggestion seemed to have worked, as I put the settings as you recommended and checked just a minute ago. The update was at 82%, which means it worked. Thank you!
