    Halo MCC "Contacting server"


    When I go to "Xbox Networking" in settings it tells me this:

    Connection Status

    Internet connection: connected

    Xbox Live Services: Up and Running

    Preformance

    Latency: 13 ms

    Packet loss: 0%

    Xbox live multiplayer

    NAT Type: open

    Server Connectivity: Connected

    But when I try to access the online multiplayer on Halo MCC it gives me the "Contacting server, trying to find the latest matchmaking data" and does not go any further.

    I am also on a college wifi/ethernet for clarification

    The game is borken.

    said so, if other’s answers do not help you, i suggest you to ask on halo.waypoint.com, the official forum when you can see if anyone else has the same problem.

    I've put 70 hours into this game now; I even played a fair bit this afternoon. But when I went to play with my friends 10 minutes ago, I was barred from matchmaking with the same message described above, 'Contacting
    server, trying to find the latest matchmaking data.' Pretty frustrating that after all these years, and paying for the damn game, pc players still have to deal with problems preventing them from playing halo. Honestly I'm really disappointed, and I hope it
    just fixes itself tmrw.

    I fixed this issue by signing out of my account and then signing back in again, hope this helps.
    No that doesnt fix it ive signed out 36 times
