    Halo Masterchief Edition requiring a signature?


    Hi,

    Spend a while I bought Halo Masterchief collection (about 2 years or so) and I always played it with NO signature (offline). For some reason now it's asking for a signature and giving me error 0x803f900a. Does anything changed? I have the physical CD btw.

    Also, about another subject, my Gears 5 CD is not installing anymore. My xbox removed all of my games for some reason and when I tried to installed Gears 5 again using the CD it's not even reading? Perhaps it's due to a Game Pass signature as well?

    Halo 3 ODST is an add-on for Halo Masterchief Collection, not an individual game. So you would need the Masterchief Collection in order to play it.

    Hi Francia,

    Thanks for your response. I logged in to the link you provided with the login id that I always use but it does not show Halo Masterchief collection under it.

    As I had mentioned in the issue description that Halo Masterchief collection had come pre bundled with XBox, it did not require me to sign in anywhere.

    It might be linked to the XBox device id as it was factory installed, how do I find way to reinstall ?

    That is correct, if you bought the console edition of Halo Masterchief it would not be available for use on PC.

    You would need to purchase the PC edition in order to play it on PC.
