Halo Master Chief Collection under old profile

Not sure if I can get my Halo game working but it was installed under my Uncles profile and he gave me the xbox as a gift. When I updated the xbox and removed the old profile I cant play the Halo game anymore. Iys still on the system and performs updates.

It asks me if I own this game or app msg 0x803F8001. Still have the code card but it says the code has bern used. Any way I can link this game to my profile?

Halo ODST for the Xbox One is an Add-On for the Master Chief Collection. you must own that in order to play it.

When you fire up the Master Chief Collection, you should be able to start a campaign (under Halo 3) for ODST.

Halo 3:ODST is listed under the Halo 3 section in the Master Chief Collection, have you checked there?

Either your uncle would need to sign into the console and set it as his Home so you can redownload the game, but it would still be tied to his account, or you would need to purchase the game on your account.

You can’t link the game if someone else has used the code for them selves only thing you can do is get his account back if he had it then you should be good.

Halo 3 is part of Halo: The Master Chief Collection which consists of Halo 1 - 4.
