Halo Master Chief Collection: halo 2 crashes when loading Cairo Station on Xbox Series S

I have been enjoying my time playing through Halo 1 and Halo Reach through the master chief collection. However, the game crashes whenever I attempt to load the Halo 2 mission, Cairo Station. The mission loads about half way and then it sends me back to the homescreen of the Xbox Series S.

I have tried to solve this problem by; Deleting the game and re-downloading and re-installing it, playing it through a different account, setting all my game preferences to default, loading the mission separately, and loading the it right after the preceding mission, The Armory. Unfortunately, all my attempts to fix the problem didn't work.

Hopefully somebody knows what to do with this, because I'm personally out of options...

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Is it possible to achieve it through the Halo Master Chief Collection?

And if yes, does it work on PC or Xbox Series X | S?

Huge Halo fan here, I would just get the Master Chief Collection.

Halo 3: ODST was fun with a group of people and the campaign was okay, but overall I found it to be an unnecessary addition to the series. You can definitely skip it.

Halo: Reach is my least favorite of the Halo series, but the story was good. It's a prequel to the rest of the series so playing it before the Master Chief Collection might help things make more sense story wise, but you don't have to play it to understand
Master Chief's story. It's not a MUST HAVE, but pick it up if you really want a bit more insight into the story.

Personally, I think you'll be fine with the Master Chief Collection. Halo: CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 are some of my favorite FPS games of all time and Master Chief is just simply awesome. Halo 4 was a great addition to the series and I have faith that 343 Industries
is on the right track, the series is in good hands. I'm really excited for Halo 5: Guardians!!
