Halo master chief collection exclusive skulls not unlocked

So the skulls that were originally preorder bonus from various stores are not available in the halo 2 anniversary campaign for me. They were officially made available to all players on the 12th of December but for me they are not there. Do I need to redeem
a code or download something/an update. I've been looking for others with this problem for a while and I have not found anything. Does anyone know what the problem is?

A: There is only one version available to purchase, which can be purchased digitally or in a physical disc.

A: Skulls can be activated in the campaign mode before in you start the mission. Pre-order skulls are only unlocked for the campaign in Halo 2 Anniversary.

Q: I didn't pre-order the game. Will I ever be able to access these skulls in the future?

A: All the pre-order skulls are exclusive until 12/12/2014. The Feather Skull is exclusive until 3/21/2015.

Q: How much space will I need to install Halo: The Master Chief Collection?

A: Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be around 45 GB and will require a content update at launch that is estimated to be around 20GB.

Q: How many multiplayer maps will be available in the game?

A: Over 100 multiplayer maps.

Q: How many campaign missions will be in the Master Chief Collection?

A: You will be able to play 45 campaign missions.

Q: Do I have to purchase the physical version of the game to get access to the Halo 5 Guardians Multiplayer Beta?

A: You will receive access to the multiplayer beta if you purchase the physical or the digital version of the game.

Q: When does the Halo 5 beta start?

A: The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta will available on December 29, 2014 and will end on January 18th 2015.

Q: What is Halo: Nightfall?

A: Halo: Nightfall is a 5 episode live action series that provides insight into the origin and the backstory of legendary manhunter Agent Locke ( Mike Colter), a pivotal new character in the Halo universe who will play a key role in Halo 5: Guardians.

Q: How can I watch Halo: Nightfall episodes?

A: You will need to download the Halo Channel for either your Xbox One or Windows 8.1 device. The live-action series will be streaming only and episodes will release on a weekly basis.

I have all the preorder skulls unlocked. Bandanna, Grunt Funeral, Boom and Pinata. Not sure why you don't have them. I have finished H2A on legendary though so maybe that helped?
