Whoever set up this painful installing time, just needs to get punched. This is just terrible. It's either the same or worse than watching pain dry.

Installation taking too oi long

Try to purchase a disc copy. Delete the 82% you've downloaded. Restart the console.

Start new installation SIGN OUT of Xbox Live while installing,It will install faster.

Installation taking too oi long

Hi I purchased the titanfall deluxe pack for my son. It is the download copy. I started the installation 04.35am yesterday. It is now 07.51 the following day. 27hrs after starting and it's sitting at 82%. Why is it taking so *** long???. I have downloaded
other large files (4gb) and they take roughly 15mins. I know there is nothing wrong with my Internet. Is the Microsoft servers this poor?

Haha. I feel ya but just chill old chap.

I pre-ordered two weeks ago so I could pre-install and avoid the pain.

Midnight last comes along. Press ye olde button - Halo Master Chief Collection needs a 15 GB update!

I felt a twinge of anger but subdued it as quickly as possible. I think this is pretty much going to be the norm on the next gen stuff and needs to be accepted for what it is. Games are only going to get bigger over the next few years. PS4 is just as bad
and as much as Ive read MS are hoping to do something about it I doubt they can cut install times by a massive amount.

Honestly it also goes by your internet download and upload. Mine is crap and took a whole day my buddys is really good and only took him like 4 hours.

if you're installing a disc on xb1, take your console offline by going to settings, network, then select go offline, then try installing your game. Doing this will speed up the install progress and after its done installing, take your console back online
by doing the same process. You can then download the update. What it's trying to do is install and download the update at the same time which takes time if you have slowish internet. This saved me so much time installing games. Wish i would of found out about
this sooner! Hope this helps
