Halo Infinite - Xbox App "Welcome Back" sign-in popup breaks the game

In the menus of Halo Infinite on PC, installed via Xbox App, whether on first loading up the game or between matches, I constantly get an Xbox App popup that says "welcome back" with a green "let's go" button underneath. Sometimes every few seconds. It doesn't happen during games themselves.

If I click "let's go", the game doesn't work. I'll be able to queue for multiplayer, but after joining a game I never actually get into the map, instead seeing a screen possibly under the map while I hear the game go on. If I try to start up the offline Academy mode the game basically softlocks, saying it's trying to join while never leaving the joining status. The only way to avoid any of this is to instead just close the popup, knowing that it will repeatedly and annoyingly come back.

What could possibly be causing this? Any ideas for fixes? I've tried the usual sign out sign in for Xbox App and Store, terminate, repair, reset for App, Store and Game etc etc. I've only ever seen this happen with Halo Infinite.

The strange thing is with no changes on my end the issue stopped for a while before resuming yesterday. Unfortunately deleting Accounts and Cache made no difference. Same story as before upon loading up the game, and still the only work around is to simply close the sign in prompt rather than confirming.

This was the first thing I tried, I saw you posted this in response to another issue. Seems to have made no difference.

These steps can help you, give it a try.

Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates.

1. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this with the game too.

2. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

3. Open the Microsoft Store app, library>get updates and update everything.

4. Press the Windows Button then type Services.

Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.

Then select Run as Administrator

Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

IP Helper

Xbox Live Auth Manager,

Xbox Live Game Save,

Xbox Live Networking Service,

Gaming Services.

Do this with each of the services listed above.

Right-click over the service and select Properties.

Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.

If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

Click Apply and OK to save changes.

5. Restart your PC and see if that solves the problem.

You are a lifesaver. I couldn't play Halo Infinite for MONTHS!!! I've had to play AMONG US day and night for the past six weeks while trying to solve this issue. Thank you for your help!! You deserve a raise!

I have the same issue. I’ve even uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. Both of these responses did not fix the issue. I can sometimes play 4 games in a row before I have to restart the game.
