I understand that you are having trouble with Halo Infinite not launching after the latest update. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the game, followed by performing a clean boot of your system.

A clean boot is a troubleshooting technique that allows you to manually disable startup items and services to identify the software causing the game to crash. Once you find the problematic software, simply uninstalling it should resolve the issue. Here’s how to do it:

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.

1. Press Win+R to open the Run dialog. Type msconfig and press Enter to open the System Configuration window.
   
2. Select the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, and then click Disable all.
   
3. In the Startup tab of Task Manager, disable all startup items.
   
4. Return to the System Configuration window and click OK.
   
5. Click Restart to reboot your computer.
   

After restarting your computer, run the game to check if the issue recurs. If there are no problems, you will need to reopen the System Configuration window and enable services one by one until you find the problematic service. After enabling each service, you will need to restart your computer to apply the changes.

Once you identify the software or service causing the game to crash or fail to start, uninstall the software or disable the service to resolve the issue.

Having the same issue. I want to knowledge dump everything I've tried so far that hasn't worked for me, but hopefully might work for some of you.

I see the game running in Task Manager under Background processes, but nothing loads. 3 processes show:

• Console Window Host
  
• DumpTool.exe (read that 'End task' on this file will load game after a few mins; hasn't worked for me).
  
• HaloInfinite.exe
  

HaloInfinite.exe is downloading to the hidden WindowsApps folder in File Explorer: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.254428597CFE2_1.3249.19634.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

I've uninstalled/reinstalled/terminated/repaired/reset/uncheck hi-res features the Xbox App/MS Store/Gaming Services/Halo Infinite using a combination of settings/advanced options/wsrest.exe/powershell/cmd prompt still nothing...also restarted the pc a hundred times for those wondering

Hello

I got this error and tried a few things. What I got Halo Infinite to work was this:

After an uninstall and reinstall of Halo Infinite I did this:

Open powershell\terminal (win 11) as administrator and run this command:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers

I rebooted my machine

I tried launching Halo Infinite and a Windows store window popped up and I had to install Xbox Gaming services which I did and the campaign was available

I noticed a few days ago that the latest update to gaming services was just spinning in my microsoft store window. I think a messed up update went to xbox gaming services

I didnt think it was this because I am in the Beta Channel of win 11 updates but I am working now.
