Halo Infinite "Verify Your Account" Login Issue

Hello. I've been highly anticipating the release of Halo Infinite for a while now, and this issue I've ran into has stopped me from being able to play the game and really frustrated me with how simple of a mistake it is.

From the beginning, I open it up and it loads. Nothing strange happening. I then make it to the opening menu where I have to link my Microsoft account. I forgot which of my E-mail addresses are linked to my main Microsoft account so I started trying all the ones I know until I reached the correct account. I eventually reached an E-mail address I thought I created before, but turns out doesn't exist. The game is now requesting me to verify I am the holder of this E-mail account even though this account does not even exist.

Another issue is that this account can't even exist since it's a gmail.co.uk account I tried typing in. Gmail only has .com as the end of an E-mail address and doesn't have .co.uk. So not only does this account not exist, it is also impossible for it to exist rendering it impossible for me to verify the owner of the account.

The thing that makes all of this a large issue for me is that I can't return to the previous screen to try a different E-mail address. I tried hard resetting my device, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game through Steam, but nope.

Every single time I try to open the game it asks me to verify I'm the owner of an account that doesn't exist.

I'm essentially locked out from playing this game all due to the Microsoft login system attempting to communicate with a non-existent e-mail account and refusing to let me return and fix this small simple issue myself by retyping a different address. Impeccable design.

Now. Is it possible for any of this to be sorted by a member of Microsoft? If so, that wound be much appreciated.

Thank you for contacting the Xbox Support forums! We are currently looking into this error and I understand how frustrating this can be.

Can you please try the following; Steam Settings > Web Browser > then "delete web browser cache and cookies. Once the web browser cache has been deleted, please try to relaunch Halo on Steam to see if you're now able to successfully login with your Microsoft account.

If the above suggestion does not work, there is a temporary fix that may help. Users that are having difficulty accessing Halo Infinite through Steam seem to be able to access Halo Infinite by downloading the game through the Xbox app or the Microsoft Store app. When you get a moment, can you please attempt to download the game from either one of these applications and let us know if this allows you to bypass the error you're receiving?

Are you trying to download Halo Infinite on Steam or through the Xbox app?

If it's the Xbox app, can you verify that your Xbox app and Gaming services are up to date?

Open the Xbox App

Click your profile icon at the top right corner of the page
Select "Settings"
Select "About" on the left panel

The first set of numbers under "Version" will display the current version of your Xbox App.

Current versions:

Xbox App: 2112.1001.10.0

Gaming Services: 3.60.12001.0

Also, is "Halo Infinite (Campaign)" giving you trouble or is it "Halo Infinite" (Multiplayer)? Have you tried downloading any other games?

I haven't had any issues with Halo MCC or Infinite on this same PC so it is really confusing. Everything for this PC but the actual login is set up for an unbanned account, but Forza in particular refuses to let me sign in with any other account. It even has a section to log in with a different account that just restarts the process with the same one. I was hoping to just appeal my old stupid ban to bypass the issue.
