Halo Infinite redirects to Gaming Services store page

I am having the same issue, I literally cannot play Halo Infinite because I get redirected to the gaming services store page. I've tried everything, even doing an in-place upgrade, I just don't know what to do. Is there ANY other fix for this? I find it really stupid that I can't play games when I'm paying for xbox game pass ultimate.

I did manage to get halo infinite campaign installed but now whenever i try to open halo infinite it opens up the Microsoft Store's Gaming Services page instead. I am on game pass on PC. Ive tried reinstalling the xbox app but it still doesnt work.

"Gamingservices" should be on automatic and running (there are 2 of them)

If that doesn't work, go to start - settings - apps - apps&features

then look for gaming services, click on advanced options and try to repair or reset it. you can also do the same for Windows store and Halo itself.

That sucks to hear. It worked for me strangely enough.

I believe I have found a solution that works! After scouring the internet I found someone who recommended I do this and it worked!

Open Registry Editor

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SYSTEM -> CurrentControlSet -> Services

Remove the GamingServices and GamingServices.Net

Restart Computer

Go to your Windows Store -> 3-dot-menu -> Downloads and Updates -> Check updates

After doing that it worked!
