Halo Infinite Multiplayer on Xbox Console (One)

I am pumped that Halo Infinite will offer free online multiplayer, but on the Xbox Microsoft Store website, the following is stated in the details about the game: "Online multiplayer on console requires Xbox subscription (sold separately)." Does this mean that anyone playing Halo Infinite on a console will STILL have to pay for game pass or gold? That implies that Halo Infinite multiplayer is free to play online on PC, kinda annoying.

Anyone else seen or read anything about this? Maybe its a detail that is not supposed to be there or it will be corrected before release?

On a console my Xbox one s I try to play the co-op insider but it keeps giving me the code for some reason I’ve done mostly everything to get it to work I’ve had the halo Infinite Insider from the multiplayer preview I’ve uninstalled the insider hub and the halo Infinite preview but I can’t find it and the halo Infinite insider keeps giving me the same code each time each time hopefully that made sense to you.

could be for the campaign side of things when they finally add in coop play. as that will need gold on console.

As it's a free game you won't need Live Gold to play the multiplayer mode. This message appears in games like Fortnite, Apex legends, and Warzone, and even so, we can play without a subscription.

Are you trying to play this version of Halo Infinite - Halo Infinite | Xbox or this one - Halo Infinite (Campaign) | Xbox? Based on the game's support article, you do not need an active Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass subscription to play Halo Infinite however the campaign one, will need to be purchased or else accessed through a Game Pass subscription.

Since this is a multiplayer issue, we may need to check your Xbox Network to ensure you can do multiplayer and account privacy for allowing multiplayer and joining your friends in game.
