Halo infinite game achievements not resetting with new player sign in

My son has completed Halo infinite on his own gamer tag account- for 10 skulls and many collectibles. When he signs out and then I sign in with my own account, the TacMap still shows his skulls and collectibles and FOB’s won.

I don’t have an issue signing in. I just want to be able to start the game - as if it’s not been played before- but even on my new sign in to Halo, the TacMap still shows the progress my son made when playing on his profile.

We have logged out of each sign in, resigned in again fresh and the skulls and won FOB’s are still showing as completed, despite it being a new player sign in and game save? What’s wrong?

When you are signing out of your son's account and signing back into your account, are you closing the game after signing out and then re-launching before signing into your account?

I suggest closing the game, signing out of your son's account and then signing into your account before launching the game again. I'd also verify that the account is actually signed out of the console before you son is signed in and vice versa as it is possible to add or switch an account without signing out.

Adding or switching accounts will allow both accounts to signed in at the same time which could be causing this issue.

Is Halo: Infinite the only game that you're experiencing this issue with? If so, your best option may be to submit a support ticket through the Halo Waypoint support website here: Submit a request – Halo Support (halowaypoint.com

Okay thank you for letting us know! I believe ngocphi was referring to signing into Halo Waypoint when trying to submit a report ticket which you may have to do.

If you are indeed signing out of your son's account before signing into yours and not adding or switching, then your best option will be to submit that support ticket as this is an in-game issue. You can follow the guide in my previous reply to submit the support ticket.
