Halo Escalation comic teases Halo 5 plot details

It's a bit of both... Some stuff from the books is there, (in H4 I mean, and I'd suspect would be in H5 as well) but it mainly just adds a nice layer of depth, and a few special fan service moments that I feel is the reason H4 was not as accessible and accepted
by a lot of players.

I felt the books were awesome on their own, but coupled with the games, it was just that much cooler. Imo.

 

I heard a rumor HALO 5 is going to be open world.

 

And will a new war start between Covenants and UNSC ?

After the events on Requiem,we don't really know how things will go....

 

ZTROOPER16: The open world "leak" was confirmed as fake by 343, but that doesn't mean it won't be open world.

Bornstellar Didact is a "I save the day" kind of character with little depth, and that is why I find him dull. He is the good guy all round with his bad guy counterpart in Halo 4, and I don't to see a Superman-Bizarro situation.

I don't see Bornstellar coming in to "save the day"... That would negate the Chief. I see how you made the "Superman" comparison, but as the Didact is a much older, more experienced and hardened/ruthless pure Warrior class Forerunner, I just don't see Bornstellar
beating him... I wouldn't want to see it go the way you suggested either.

After I've read Silentium I'll come back to this... I might even get the DC comics going too...

No worries mate, It's definitely worth a read... If you can be bothered. Cryptum is a great read in terms of Halo 4, it's got some hard sci-fi to get your head around, but it gives you a great snapshot of the history behind humans and forerunners... Ghosts
of Onyx is one of my favorites too, it delves into the history of John and the original Spartans in a way that will really help appreciate who they are... From abducted kids, to dangerous unethical torturous augmentation and brutal training and mental conditioning,
it's a full on story of their history...

I'm going to start reading again soon!

 

Wow, well it does sound like a pretty deep read. Thanks xeno mate. I take it that they are adult comics and have some pretty 'grown up' material in them? Nothing like TWD but adult enough to warrant an age rating?

Yeah, adult enough... I've just started reading them through the Dark Horse app... Will let you know once I'm done.
