I reckon she wants revenge on the UNSC but not 117 i reckon the UNSC will ask chief to find harlsey either to save her or kill her but 117 wont b able to kill her and they will get cortona back

 

Cortland will never be fully realised as what she once was, I reckon. She will understand that the shot was fired in the mistaken belief she was working against the UNSC.

 

I just reread that. It makes no sense.

Cortana will never be realised as the same AI she once was, I doubt she will return fully. Halsey will understand that the shot was fired under mistaken orders.

That clears it up.

I'm curious as to why you think Bornstellar has no place? Why write him in with a combination of traits if it's inconsequential? He's part Warrior Servant, Builder and Lifeworker, also he had a soft spot for humans (well the de-evolved ones at least), so
why shouldn't he have a place? I'm thinking he and the Didact have to cross paths again at some point, and him possibly helping John... Otherwise what's the point of him?

I get that you're very deep into the canon and universe, and I'm not professing to know more than you, but give me some credit, I've done more than most and as least read most of the books, I've got Halo Legends, played all the games, but not read the comics
yet... I'm trying to understand, and get another point of view, so please don't be a Halo snob

As for Cortana, there are too many possible story arc's for her at this point. Halsey is too smart and will not be concerned with revenge. She's seeking information, and I'm sure she will play a huge role in H5.

It would be awesome if John was able to use the War Sphinx... Imagine it

 

Can I ask a slightly off topic question. Is there one specific comic or two I could read to bridge the gap you all refer to? Or would I need to read them all (which I don't intend to do) I just wondered if there was a quick way round or a specific one I
could read to clue me into this?

I am a little lost on what everyone is talking about but at the same time I am pretty interested too. It just doesn't make sense to me lol.

Unfortunately not... There are three books in the Forerunner saga, which is closer to the H4 timeline, Cryptum, Primordium & Silentium... I haven't read Silentium yet, but I will be before H5.

It's a rich, deep universe and all this info comes from diving into to novels, comics and other media.

Sorry... But there's no "Halo cliff notes"...

Dr Halsey is smart,intelligent and she is scientist (one of the best).

If she can do researches and get answers about Prometheans/unknown technologies/ect....and a revenge,by using Convenants,i'm pretty sure she will.

About Master Chief,it's a total mystery,did he went back on earth?Will he try to find Halsey?Is he still a UNSC soldier or just a (lonely) hero from the past?....

 

i reckon they may even just bring something else out to bridge the gap between halo 4 and halo 5 like they did with halo 3 and halo 4 they brought out ODST. ill buy it none the less halo is my fav game i have the UNSC badge on my wrist lol so. but if it
is halo 5 that comes out i reckon the chief will be sent to find Dr halsey and it will gof or there no way will chief ever kill her i wih Sgt Johnson was stil in it and the arbitor

How likely is it that the bits you know from reading the books will be included into the story in H5? Is it something that they have to add or do the books just give you a deeper tone?

 

Never read a Halo novel or comic and never felt lost.

I only saw "Foward into dawn",all the rest of "my knowledge" about Halo,come from Halo games.

I don't think they needs to add anything.

 

The only reason I believe Bornstellar Didact has no place in Halo 5 is his character makeup is very dull and according to 343 Halo 5 will be the saddest in the saga so far, and Bornstellar has a distinctly Superman makeup. I suspect the Absolute Record will
come into play and I sincerely hope The Flood make their triumphant comeback. And elites in general.

I personally found him and his story intriguing, and the fact he was responsible for waking the Didact in the first place, I would think it's only fitting he has a part in putting him back down... But hey, I'm not knocking your point of view mate, different
strokes I guess...

The absolute record I'm sure will play a part, and the flood is in definite need of a return and more menacing presence. After Primordium I would like to see the true horror of the flood on display...
