Halo Elite Controller Charging Case Won't Charge

I'm sorry to hear your charger isn't working for your controller.

Yes, you are supposed to remove the little velvet from the case, make sure the USB-C port is in all the way, and it is plugged in either to an outlet, the Xbox console, or another form of power (like the USB port on your PC).

Have you tried connecting the USB-C cable straight to the controller to make sure the wire / controller is not the issue?

If it is in fact defective, you can go to account.microsoft.com/devices and register your device if it's not already registered. The Halo Elite Controller just released, to it is under warranty. Select it from the list of devices, then click "Start Order".

When you get to the Tell us more about the issue page, under Category you can select "Acessory" and the Issue type as "Charge Kit" and describe your issue underneath.

Confirm your shipping address and everything else, and you're good to go.

My old Play and Charge charges fine in my old controller but won't charge in my Elite.

I u understand that the Series X controller will be using a USB C connector to charge the battery (same as the Elite 2 controller), so charging stations that use micro USB won't work.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your Elite Series 2 controller. Based on the information you provided, it seems like there may be a hardware issue with the controller itself. Since you have a protection plan and plan to replace it, that would be the best course of action to take.

Either the battery itself has failed or the internal charging circuitry. If this is the case, it won't matter how long you leave your controller plugged in, it will never charge.
