    I have the same issue and none of the suggested "solutions" do anything. I have a physical copy of the game and yes I did register the code. I have tried everything posted to no avail. I can see that both the Halo Channel app and the Nightfall download
    are on my machine but there isn't a way to actually play the Nightfall episode. I get the same endless loop as everyone else. So frustrating. It is now been a couple of days since launch and still no fix for this, really? smh

    add this on top of the broken match making and this game is really annoying me... but that's a whole other issue in its self

    We are receiving reports that this issue has been resolved. Please go ahead and give the following steps a try:

    • From the Dashboard, navigate to the Halo Channel app.
    • Select Menu and then select Quit.
    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
    • Power on your console and navigate to the Halo Channel app.
    • Select the Halo Channel app and under the Feature tab, select Play.
    Give the steps above a try and let us know if you are still being prompted to buy Halo. Thanks!

    Tried the "fix" and it's still telling me to buy Halo:Nightfall.

    I have the disc version of Halo:MCC

    Logged in to the Xbox One with the only account I have set up on it

    I used the code that came with the game

    I don't have a capture card

    I tried uninstalling both the Halo Channel App and Nightfall

    The "fix" didn't work for me, is there anything else that I should try?

    Forgot to mention one thing that may be relevant.

    I have an external hard disc that everything gets installed to, nothing gets installed on the internal Xbox One hard disc.

    If you had the Halo Channel prior to using the download code for Bundle, you might want to remove both Halo Channel and Nightfall, then sign out of your profile. Next, press and hold the power button for ten seconds, until the console shuts down, unplug
    from power for the recommended five minutes, then power back up, sign in and download the Halo Channel and then Nightfall. You have the license for both, therefore should not be prompted to purchase.

    Navigate to the Halo Channel app, locate nightfall and try to play an episode.

    Sorry to hear about the Nightfall issue and thank you for providing the detailed information. Do you have any guests signed in while trying to play Nightfall? Also, was your Nightfall code redeemed using the same profile you are trying to view Nightfall

    I don't have any guest accounts on the Xbox One, only my Gamertag. The code was redeemed using that same Gamertag.

    Sorry to hear that the issue is continuing to occur. Have your tried moving Halo: The Master Chief Collection and the Halo Channel app from your external hard drive to your Xbox One hard drive?

    Hey Mister Quimby

    I did try moving the app to the internal hard disc earlier in the process, but that didn't change anything.

    However, somehow the video started to work this morning. Instead of "Buy" the icon changed to "Play"

    I didn't try anything else since the last round of troubleshooting a couple of days ago. The App is currently installed to the internal hard disc while the game is installed to the external.

    Nothing has changed, so I'm not sure why the video started to work. The only thing that I can think of is that some time has passed and I've logged into the Xbox a few times since the trouble started.

    Anyway, thanks for the help, and I hope everybody else can get their video to work.
