Halo channel says I need to buy MCC to watch nightfall, but I already have.

Yesterday when I got home, the first thing I did was was buy a digital copy of the Master Chief collection, and once I installed it it also installed the halo channel and Nightfall. However, I can't watch it due to Halo channel simply saying I have to buy
the game, but I've already got the entire game installed.

Can't watch "Nightfall"

So, I purchased MCC digitally. Game, Halo Channel, and NIghtfall downloaded. However, when I try to play the 1st episode of Nightfall, it takes me to the Halo Channel and says I need to buy MCC. I did already! I deleted and reinstalled hallo channel
and Nightfall.

Anyone else having similar issues?

 

Master Chief Collection: Halo Nightfall won't play.

Having a similar if not the exact same issue. I have the hard copy of MCC, installed the Halo Channel, and used the code included with the game to get Nightfall. When I open the Halo Channel and go to Nightfall, the only option it gives is to Buy Nightfall.
Even when I hit that button though, it takes me to Nightfall in the MS Store and says I already bought it. Even so, it won't let me play it, it still says Buy Nightfall. WTF?

 

Same problem. Was hoping to watch Nightfall this morning.

 

Having same problem with disc version as well.

 

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem. Has anyone found a solution?

update for you all. me and several people contacted MS. they are investigating now as they could not troubleshoot the problem. so lets see what happens. any one who says you still have to buy the episodes is completely wrong FYI.

Sorry to hear about the Halo: Nightfall issues, I can definitely understand how frustrating this could be. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted:

Please give the following steps a try:

• First, if you have purchased the physical disc copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, make sure to redeem the code that came with the game. For more information about redeeming Xbox codes, check out our how
  to redeem an Xbox prepaid code page.
• If you have already redeemed the code or have a digital copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, navigate to My games & apps from the homepage of your Xbox One console.
  
• Select the Apps tab and then navigate to the Halo Channel app.
• Press the Menu button and select Manage app.
• Select Uninstall.
• Once the Halo Channel has uninstalled, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
  
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and navigate to My games & apps.
• While in the apps tab, scroll to the right and select The Halo Channel under the section labeled READY TO INSTALL. Select Install.
  
• Once The Halo Channel app has installed, navigate to My Games & apps and select the Halo Channel.
  
• Under the Featured tab, select Play.

Give the suggested a try and let us know if you are unable to play Halo: Nightfall.

 

Mister Quimby, went over that with MS support non of that worked, at least not for me or any one else I know . Thanks though

 

I don't understand how this is marked as answered, the provided fix does nothing except waste all of our time.

 

Tried the suggested fix in this feed and it didn't work. Very frustrating.

Same here. It really does seem to be something as simple as 343/Microsoft FORGOT that the digital version would obviously not come with any download code, and didn't use their brains to think that the digital version would need some sort of 'marker' in it
for the Halo Channel to register as 'unlocking' Nightfall.

This as to be one of the stupidest oversights I've ever heard of.
