Halo acheivments not unlocking

so was playing Halo 4 in the Master Chief collection. Went under the bridge and accessed terminal and no acheivement unlocked. Completed first mission and no acheivement unlocked. Went to career and picked the first achievement and picked the option to take
me to the point where I can get the acheivment tried again didn't unlock again. Finished mission again and no achievment. Normal game mode. Did unlock killed 100 grunts so I know that some achievments are working. Have completed 8 total Campaign missions
but didn't unlock any of those acheivments.

I am not sure if an xbox worker just did something but thanks if you did cos the acheivment just randomly popped up 5 missions later.

So did that restore the acheivment or did you have to re unlock it?

 

Hello LordGarth999, there seems to be a System error right now with Achievements not unlocking. Don't worry you're not the only one having these problems and Xbox are working very hard to resolve this problem.

I would recommend you keeping an eye on this

I would say when these problems are resolved your problem will be resolved.

 

Well, the live status now shows that everything is up and running, but those achievements that didn't unlock for me earlier were not updated on Xbox.com.

Looks like I'd have to replay those parts.

PS: Or maybe they will in 48 hours.

 

I'm having the same problem. I ended up replaying the first mission for Halo CE a few times and never got the achievement. At one point it said "done, unlocking...." but still nothing. I had this same problem happen to me in Destiny too, so they might just
give you all the achievements you were supposed to unlock all at once eventually.

 

If it's saying "Done! Unlocking..." then they should show up within 48 hours or so.

 

Hello, 343 are aware of the issue regarding achievements not unlocking and are working to resolve the issue.

Tomorrow morning (Wednesday morning Pacific Time) we plan to roll out a number of server updates to help improve matchmaking. Again, these are server-side fixes, so you won't need to take a content update or reboot your console; you should see the effects
right away.

In addition, we are targeting another release for this weekend, which will address a number of other community priorities. An unrelated issue with services is also causing achievements to not unlock correctly, and we realize this just makes it all feel a
bit worse.

Achievments have never taken 48 hours before. The link is less than useful as it is directed at the matchmaking issues and deflects other problems as system issues. I have never gotten a finished unlocking message. Have now tried the Digging Up The Past
acheivments 8 times. Still hasn't unlocked. Keep trying it since it is one of the easiest and you can take the acheivments link almost direct to it.

 

So I had 5 acheivments pop up overnight. That just leaves the ones for completing a level. Stopped finishing levels to see if they show but afraid I may have to redo all levels I have finished.

As WOW DYLAN has pointed out, 343 are aware of the issue. They plan to get a fix out by the weekend so hopefully this resolves the issue. Its great to hear that some of your achievements have come through though! In the mean time I would just wait for the
problem to be addressed and let them come in of their own accord.
