Halo 5's Biggest-Ever Expansion Teased, Coming End of June

Halo 5's Warzone Firefight expansion, the Xbox
One shooter's biggest since launch, is coming out at the end of the month. In 343's latest
weekly blog post, the developer shared a status update for how it's coming along and teased more about what it contains.

"A wide variety of teams are hard at work to get their final work and polish completed," 343 said. "These include the Warzone team, who are finishing up the PvE mode, the Warzone Boss Refresh we first mentioned in
the last issue, and more."

343 also released images of some of the new Warzone Firefight bosses players will encounter--they look ***. They each have Ultra-class armor, 343 said. Check them out in the images below.

Additionally, while May's second free update, Hog Wild, did not include any new maps, that won't be the case for Warzone Firefight. 343 said in the blog post that players can expect "new places," while the update will
also deliver "new tools of destruction."

Additionally, 343 teased that there are "a few surprises" about the Warzone Firefight expansion that have not been announced yet. One of these could be related to Forge.

Warzone Firefight will be Halo 5's seventh free expansion. The other ones were The Battle of Shadow and Light (November), Cartographer's Gift (December), Infinity's Armor (January), Hammer Storm (February), Ghosts
of Meridian (April), Memories of Reach (May), and Hog Wild (May).

It comes out tommorow and im excited! Did you play the beta? I never could get into warzone but this new mode of 8 vs a wave of enemies is going to be awesome!

Lol...People who complain about Halo games and Yet they either end up buying them or looking at their Friend list seeing all their friends playing them. Love or hate Halo One of the biggest games ever. So Hush

 

Yeah my buddy and me enjoyed playing through the campaign but were really put off with the Req System for weapons.

Instead of there being weapons to pick up on the map... you Requesition them.

But you have a finite number of boxes and though you can gain points from participating in matches (without the ability to request anything) and are able to purchase them in game what the Publisher wants you to do is buy Requisition Packs from the store
with real currency so Microsoft can stick this one up their backside.

 

^ So you're saying that the publisher would rather have you buy their microtransactions instead of earn them in the game?

Wow! That sounds like every other game that has microtransactions. They can all stick it up their backsides. lol

I'd list the games that have microtransactions but simply put... that's a pretty long list. lol again.

 

I was actually thinking of buying this game. Do a lot of people still play it? How long is the campaign?

 

Campain is short. Being a Halo fan since 2002, I picked up the digital version last year, and tried to play it but lost intrest around mission 3 of 7. Far too easy to just run from the start of a mission to the beginning of the next. Before you knew it,..
THE END.

Story, playability etc, just didn't feel like Halo anymore. Seems as if 343 put most of their efforts into MP, at the expense of the campain.

Hopefully that will not happen with Halo 6.

I un-installed Halo 5: Guardians but I still have the game

I love the Story Mode and the only thing that I didn't like was the inclusion of the Master Chief in it. I want a Halo game with Team Osiris only in the future.

I got Halo 5 at launch. I remember when they had trouble with multiplayer and how some complained about a day 1 15GB update. I've played through over half of the campaign missions, but haven't played much multiplayer.

In Halo 4, my favourite modes are Heavies, and zombies. I haven't even tried the zombies like mode in Halo 5. My favourite Youtuber has. I'm just consumed with other games during my free time. I should really make the effort to try out any zombies multiplayer
mode in Halo 5 this weekend.

A question is how BIG is this expansion pack going to be? Game file sizes are way kwazy-r than Xbox 360.

 

tried going back into the campaign last week.. its so boring and bland i had to turn it off.

 

Life experience has taught me that you get what you pay for... and Halo 5 has done nothing to contradict that.
