    Halo 5 Xbox One Controller not recognizing Headphones


    I have a Halo 5 xbox controller and I was playing rocket league when I accidently unplugged my headphones. I quickly plugged them back in, but had no audio from the game or chat. Turns out the controller is no longer recognizing any of my headphones. I tried
    hard resetting the xbox, new batteries, everything that I could think of I tried. Anybody know how to fix this?

    Accessory Replacement

    I bought my Xbox one halo 5 edition when it first came out and now my controller is starting to fail (joysticks not working or getting "stuck). If I get a replacement, will the replacement be a halo 5 controller or will I get a regular Xbox one controller?

    This. I have the same exact problem. Xbox one controller will not turn on the xbox with the headphones plugged in. It will not be recognized by the xbox at all, even if powered up and the xb button is pressed.

    With headphones removed the controller acts normally and will turn the system on.

    I hope somebody has an answer as to if I have a defective controller or headphone.

    Chatpad no longer working with 11/19 Update

    I just purchased the Xbox One Chatpad. When I first plugged it in to my Halo 5 Master Chief controller on Monday 11/23/2015, it prompted the update for the controller and then for the Chatpad as well. It seemed to be working. I then plugged it into my Halo
    5 (silver) controller but it did not prompt the updates nor did this controller recognize that the Chatpad was attached. I then plugged the Chatpad back into the Master Chief controller and now it also does not recognize that the Chatpad is connected. Both
    controllers are have been updated to firmware version 2.3.2385.0. I have also powered cycled restart several times as well as completely disconnected the power supplies for the console and the controllers. I would hate to have to exchange it for a different
    one if it is just a firmware issue. I have tried restarting my Xbox One on Tuesday 11/24/2015 with no change.

    My control does not recognize my headphone. It worked some weeks but after some time sttoped. The headphone is new and works fine in other devices. The headphone iccon does not appear in the screen.

    Hello, I've already tried everything with the controller.

    I have now gotten with the headphone in the Xbox menu is not always recognized and if they are recognized and then the controller shakes a bit, the sound goes away immediately.

    I've also tried the https://devicesupport.microsoft.com/ unfortunately it shows me no option for the controller even though there is still warranty.
